School Dayz...

 Rainbow day at school... one participated and one did not ;) You guess ;)

This week (Feb 1) we kick off the Penny War at the gals school... it was all hands on deck getting the bottles ready to be brought in....

and I had CRAZY HAIR day at my school... I opted for the sparkly teal headband... my hair is crazy enough as it is!

This is my AMAZING janitorial staff.... you can barely see "Dave" on top of my head... these guys are running ALL.DAY.EVERY.DAY. Cleaning, spraying, wiping... they are ROCKSTARS!

And just for kicks and giggles.... MC asked for pink hair on the day they went to the dentist... ;)

The Weekend Report

We started off Friday night with a quick zip over to the CountryRents to do some ice skating... it was so fun!

CountryMum was doing her best to keep it swept while we gals were tearing it up! :)

The next pictures are actually backwards but Minnie and I got giggling because in this order it TOTALLY looks like she went DOWN... 

The perfect end to a Friday night... Defense snuggles and pizza take out with a family movie night

On Saturday the gals got up early and headed to meet up with the Penney crew for some ice fishing... it was BRUTALLY cold out there.... their Mom and I didn't last very long at ALL before we called it a day and packed it all up... We took the gals home to pack up for a sleepover and while they were waiting for their ride..... there was slime playing...

I had made breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits that did not get eaten so I rewrapped them... yummy!

On Sunday, Miss B "helped" Nana with some new music at church and she looked so cute standing up there....

Site changes, glass of wine and UNO... a few of my Sunday night things....

and selfies... I love finding selfies on my phone when I get ready to blog... Happy Monday!

 

Thursday....

 It's not Wordless Wednesday but I am feeling like we could all use a smile these days.... daily calls from our school district with positive cases, cold weather, and let's not even talk about the politics... how about just....

Long Weekend

We had such a great LONG weekend.... I had a honey-do list a MILE long and we (read HUSBAND) accomplished it ALL! Showers were scrubbed, liners replaced, oil change in the car, drains cleaned out, fishing on Monday, grocery shopping, laundry, road raked, and another big project with pictures below ;) 

We started the weekend by zipping over for a quick meet and greet of Miss Dayna's newest family addition... meet Bea.... my Miss B was IN LOVE... of COURSE ;) 

We have all really been missing our pizza buddies so in honor of the good 'ol days we had big mac pizza and it was SOOO YUMMY :)

There were ENDLESS card games.... we play UNO almost every night and we are all having SO much fun with it... 

On Sunday Husband and I tackled my Christmas present project... while the gals worked on training Defense... my boss/friend gave us this ramp to see if he would prefer to use it to get up and into the back of my car but it is making him pretty nervous... he does OK at lower inclines....

But even the CHEESE wouldn't get him to go at this one...

For Christmas Husband ordered me the solar cafe lights I had in my "cart" online...In my head it was just throwing up some hooks and stringing the lights... married to a math teacher.... not.so.much. 

They look SO good though and I LOVE them! 

I am definitely going to paint my yellow bench so it pops a little more and the little table next to it as well... we are trying to figure out how to trim out the bottom of the columns and I am loving something like this.... CLICK HERE or maybe just something simple like this.... CLICK HERE

Finished up on Monday with more card games and relaxing... a GREAT long weekend with my crew!

Miss B Randoms

I love Miss B and her love for all things girly... she has been BEGGING to dye her hair... "just the ends MOM... just the ENDS!" for weeks... maybe even since the start of school...

We compromised on some spray in hair color that comes out with a hair wash... she LOVED it :) 

I also love that she is REALLY coming into her own with fishing this year... she's having so much fun and getting so excited about catching the "big ones" :) (following *fish* pics courtesy of Sky)

Watching and trying to encourage the differences in my gals has always been something I enjoyed. Seeing them get excited about old things in a new way is equally as fun for me :) 

 

I Love Our Backyard

Husband and I took a walk into the woods while the gals were gone up north and this view when we get there just never gets old for me... it changes every minute and I just love it...so thankful for our "space"....

 

Out with a BANG

 because the ice was settling non-stop and it was FREAKING ME OUT...if you have never been on ice when it is making noise... you should sometime... just to give yourself a heart attack! So scary! Course if there are fish being caught my crew doesn't care if they have to take a KAYAK ice fishing... they are just so happy to be out there... 

Thankful to Husband's friends who never mind if the gals tag along, in fact, they welcome it! AND THEN THEY SHARE THEIR FISH! :)

Minnie ran to the next flag and she was CERTAIN it was a "big 'ol bass" since we were on the same pond we were this summer.... 

Poor gal was sorely disappointed... 

Hee... hee... hee....

I thought Husband was not right in the head for going out there because there wasn't enough ice but there was about 4-5 inches and they are all cozied up at home with me now so I guess alls well that ends well ;) And it was a GREAT way to end the Christmas break...
