Another LONG Weekend

We got dumped on with about 12-18" of snow on Sunday into Monday so another BONUS long weekend! HOORAY!

Kicked off Friday night watching Minnie....

2 of Minnie's biggest fans....

Saturday Husband went fishing (too cold for any pics he said....) and Minnie was at practice from 7:30-12:00!!!! We just hung out at home for the afternoon and watched a movie... 

Sunday all the chatter was the impending snowstorm. B&B moved Cooper's bday UP to 12 so we went to SS and worship and then headed north....It's always a FIGHT on who is going to hold the baby.... Minnie won for a bit and then I STOLE him. :)

We drove home as the storm was starting and I was happy to get snuggled in for the night... we did one shovel around 6:30ish and Husband left around 8ish to make a pass for us and his Mom....

Clearly the ONLY one psyched about the snow... I went out to shovel the deck and he was a kid in a candy store. 

Gals did a lot of deep couch sitting and becoming one with their screens. I attempted to make cookies for Miss B's bball banquet but I think I need to give up making cookies... at least chocolate chip. Yikes. Minnie said they tasted good so I sent the best of the batch with Miss B but probably should have just sent her with a package of Oreos.

Ended the afternoon with Minnie pulling Husband out...much to her chagrin...but good life lessons... and I am over here trying to raise boss babes. 

She did a GREAT job and was mostly just annoyed to leave her blanket and couch. Ha!

Thanksgiving Break

 Husband and I kicked off the break with our annual movie night (even though we only watched 1/2 of it) and we enjoyed zucchini fries :)

Didn't take many pics per usual on Thanksgiving but the ones I got were GOOD! :) Love these four!

Back at Mimi's for sandwiches and pie...

and sharing with Sky :)

Abbey met us at MIL's and came home for a sleepover for Minnie's birthday. They took over my empty bedroom....

and when I woke up I ordered Minnie's fav. breakfast sandwich from Local 130 and I had company to go pick it up in our jammies :)

We hung out at home until about 11 and then the gals wanted to do some shopping... we came home with a project for Abbey... the gals made a tutu for her 5K that was on Sunday :)

Saturday Minnie had a scrimmage... always fun watching my girls! Peep Husband over there tucked in the corner! He was so happy to be there!

After the game we went to Festival of Trees and snagged a photo op :)

Husband was in the truck so SIL L had him on Facetime so we included him in the photo op! :)

On Saturday night Miss B texted Tricky and Guinny about going to get a tree... Guinny was unavailable but he sent his son Jason in his place... Miss B was SO EXCITED to be with the guys and I was SO THANKFUL for them coming to set it all up for she and Husband!

Our house smelled SOOOO good when we got home from church... Miss B and I decorated and she was THRILLED to have it all up and finished!

It was a full but restful break! Now just 3 weeks until the next one! HOORAY!

Thanks for being the guinea pig at this Mommin' thing and keeping me in check...

You are wise beyond your years, a friend like no other, a fierce competitor, and one of my 2 favorite people to cheer on from the sidelines, bleachers and track. 

You have a gift with tiny people and those that could use a little extra and to see the light shine in them (and YOU) is something to behold.

I'd throw you back in that 5 point harness in a hot second but to hang with the best version of you now is beyond my wildest dreams. 

You're just cool kid and gosh we love yah.

Miss B's Annual Pool Party

Miss B LOVES celebrating around her birthday (or ON her actual day as she did back HERE) at "Bob" and Aunt Nancy's... they graciously agreed again this year, we packed up a couple of friends, ordered up some McD's for the bday girl and we were OFF...

Meanwhile Minnie was here with friends... bleck.

This is WAY more my speed... a GORGEOUS quiet EMPTY pool :) Bliss!

I think they all had a BLAST... we wrapped it up with DQ on the way home and games in the den...she's so easy to celebrate and with buddies like these... SO FUN!

Happy 13th Birthday Miss B!

I have said it for YEARS but to be loved by you is a gift... you are the sweetest, kindest, gentle-est ;) girl there ever was...

You love all things fur, fins and feathers...and you were SO HAPPY to get new baby chicks this spring...

a trip to a local donut shop... and you were up and at 'em to be the firsts standing in line...

This girl... and having your nails done like Nana are two of your favs... 

Friends flock to you... you are smart, kind, funny and inclusive... please keep being all those things as you head into and navigate these teen years....

While fishing isn't your fav like it is your sister....I don't mind because we get more "deep couch sitting" :)

but picking out a Christmas tree with your Dad alone... might be your favorite day on the calendar... just don't be too mad about the budget restraints :)

Watching you play all the sports and love *almost* every minute is SO.MUCH.FUN. 

Miss B... "people" say we could be headed into some rocky territory here coming up but I think if you keep being YOU.... keep your eyes on Jesus and find the things that give you joy and sharing that with others... everything will be just.fine. :)
