The Weekend Report: Full Circle Moment

Husband loves Shaws. We gals HATE Shaws. All Husband wanted was company on his weekly trip to Shaws. All the girls wanted was NOT to go....:) but.... I offered and went... (they stayed home! ha!)

Minnie had asked to go paddle boarding but the radar didn't look great and then I texted her this picture...YIKES!

By the time we were done and groceries were unloaded the storms had passed so we loaded up to head out... my water baby loves a pick up truck, dirt road and her paddle board!

Full circle moment... Husband bought me this kayak for my birthday when I was about 4-5 months PREGNANT with Minnie. I had wanted one for SO long but it wasn't until I was almost at the point where I wouldn't be able to FIT in one that I got it :) HA! It has hung in the shed mostly unused for the past 10 years or so but once Minnie got her paddle board I knew it was coming out of retirement!

Husband got it down for us and she and I gave it a good scrubbing and hose out.... and now here I am on the pond with that baby....

Feels very surreal but I am excited for more dates with my big girl this summer!

School's Out!

My year long lunch date gave me a gift on the last day of school... we talked endlessly about Discus and Barkley...we videoed Husband when he was home recovering with his hips so that my friend could SEE Barks and Disc... we discussed his dogs Max and Murph and I even printed pictures of his dogs for him to look at almost daily....

On the last day he came in right before the end of the day and informed me it was "time to open your present"... he then pulled out the tissue paper on top...asked if I wanted to touch it and then before I could open it said "IT'S FOR DISCUS"!

I could NOT keep it together... add in an office full of people who heard the whole exchange... I was crying and laughing all at the same time...while it is a very soft blanket... it is in FACT covered in CATS... which most people know I HATE and he knows how MEAN Discus is...

but I emailed this picture to his mom that night... it may actually not REALLY been FOR Discus but she's claimed it as her own now!

Last day of 8th and Sophomore year... so FAST

The outtakes....

We hit up the pool on Friday and then went over for our annual ice cream TRADITION

Plus Paisyn cuz she's always up for a good time!

Here comes SUMMER!

Miss B's 8th Grade Promotion Dance

Man those two years went by FAST! Or should I say 13 years!?

and getting prettied up with her friends

so I knew 8th grade promotion dance wouldn't even been a QUESTION on if she was going or not.

While we didn't find anything on this particular day....

She did decide on a dress from Amazon and thank goodness for Mimi who altered it so she could feel comfortable and look AMAZING! Special shout out to Minnie for help with a minor wardrobe malfunction :)

Sweet group of gals that got ready together at our house... they had so much fun!

My beauty queens!

HOLY SMOKES the difference 2 years makes... and a few more inches as well :)

Alicia took this picture and it cracks me up... walkin' the gals to the photo opp! :)

She had SO much fun and danced the ENTIRE night! She loved everything about it and I am so SO happy she had fun! Here comes high school!!!

Boston

The CountryMouse managed the big city!!! And by that I mean HUSBAND managed it! :) Thank GOODNESS!

He was matched up with a kidney stone specialist about a month ago... the first available (that worked with the chaotic track schedule) was on Monday, June 15 at 8AM... in Jamaica Plains! Yikes! WE KNEW we would have to go down on Sunday night in order to navigate all of the traffic etc.... we just MISSED the part that oh... a little thing called THE WORLD CUP was happening as WELL as the Red Sox having home games! Ack!

Husband NAILED it in this traffic... in the TRUCK... (not that my car is that much smaller hee hee)

I sent pics to the girls to see if they were jealous of the city and all the cars...I assure you... they were NOT. Home with Sky for a sleepover and getting their nails done!?!? Yeah, they were content to be home :)

16 min to drive 2 miles... goodness....

I appreciate the trees but not my "normal" view from my 2nd story window... and this was the 5th floor...

we woke up ready to tackle the day... made it to the hospital, Husband had a great conversation with the Dr, a CT scan and an order for an MRI to see if we can some answers and solutions! We are hoping to do a lot of the consultations via telehealth because....

we both MUCH prefer staying HOME vs. the "big city" :)
