Last Day of Summer/First Day of School

 We could NOT BELIEVE it was the END OF SUMMER (or...that I was taking SO LONG taking pics of them... BAH!)

Miss B, Husband and I all went on Tuesday... (Husband and I have already BEEN working but kiddos first day was Tuesday)

LAST YEAR of Middle School.... NOOOOOO

and because they let the Freshman have the place to themselves my SOPHOMORE got one extra day of summer va-ca... so she started Wednesday....

The Weekend Report

On Sunday AM Husband GRACIOUSLY went down to get me coffee at 5:20ishAM and then crawl back into bed... Miss B wanted to go and support Reese in her triathlon.... Track stuff is weird... it is all very segregated and different... if you do XC you do XC, if you do Indoor... its completely different from outdoor/SPRING track... if you do TRIATHLONS.... THEY are a whole OTHER ball of wax... swim, bike, run... no way Hosea but... I WILL wake up at the crack of dawn to 1) see what they are all about and 2) bring Miss B and her friend to support!!!!

Miss B, Miss P and I showed up at Daws and Josie's alma mater around 7:00ish and I was blown away from the moment we stepped out of the car with the people, parking and PLANNING.... whew... I have done my fair share of coordinating and organizing but this was UNBELIEVABLE... I loved it! :)

We met up with Reese's Mom and little sister and headed down to the beach to see if we could catch her (and her DAD! who was also competing) before she jumped in the water... click on the pic to enlarge and you can see ALL the swimmers in wetsuits... ain't no way I'm swimming in Sebago in JUNE!!! YIKES!

It was SO fun to walk around the campus cheering on the athletes but especially Gus and Reese! We were VESTED!

She was racing her Dad and ended up 3 MINUTES behind him...once it was all said and done... 

but she was SO HAPPY to have her buddies there supporting her... she went so fast I made it back in time for CHURCH!! Didn't get to change so felt a little funny in my running shorts and sweatshirt but I know the LORD doesn't mind... my heart was HAPPY to be there... :) 

Spent a lazy Sunday afternoon (my favorite kind) and then I suggested going for a ride... Minnie agreed and Husband said "the beach" uh... we do not GO to THE BEACH... but to the East we went... finding ourselves at Congdon's After Dark, ordering tater tots, and a burger and listening to live music...we even got to see Mrs. LaPage...

HAPPY Weekend FOR Sure!!!

Well THAT happened fast...

 I cannot believe that we went from HERE...

To HERE... her first track meet EVER!

and even way back HERE when she went to her FIRST TRACK GIRLS SPAGHETTI DINNER!

and today starts the next four years of Varsity Track and Field... I can't WAIT to watch her (and Miss B) under the amazing direction of the hot coach! :)

Minnie: I think I MUCH prefer WATCHING practice than DOING it....😂

HERE WE GO....

 Way back HERE.....we had no idea what we were getting into...but we were EXCITED for it :) 

Just didn't realize how QUICKLY we would be HERE.....

SO PROUD of all the hard work, hours, classroom instruction and driving she did to accomplish her GOAL....

Just not sure how I feel about my view....

But I loved my co-rider :) and we were not NEARLY as frightened as we appear... 

Minnie you are doing AWESOME and we are SO SO proud of you.... just wish these days had lasted a LITTLE longer....

The Week in Review

I am REALLY hoping to get back on track of at least a FEW times a week but last night the GAS LIGHT in my car turned on so that's basically where I'm at with life. If my head is above water... we are going to call it a WIN!

On Monday I picked Miss B up from practice after work and came home to a houseful of golf boys. I was only home for about 10 minutes so these are the only two pictures I snapped...

I headed back out to the high school to grab my big girl from practice....

When we got back they had finished eating and were playing outside... by 7:00 everyone was gone, my kitchen was clean and I had one in the shower... not bad for a spaghetti dinner night :)

and.... I am afraid we are back to this... poor girl... 

she does have a BOOT on her when she kicks that soccer ball but to what end.... OUCH!

I was ACTUALLY able to bring Minnie to practice along with a few friends on Wednesday!! I am so very thankful for my village but as her Momma I do love being able to take care of all.the.things.

Miss B was away on Thursday... with a WIN 4-2

She played the WHOLE game and was asked to do ALL the kicks!!!

We RACED home, grabbed Barks (Husband had a match) and found out when we got to Minnie's game...

that she STARTED.... in the VARSITY GAME....they announced her name and EVERYTHING!

I was SO SO SO sad to miss it.....she played great and they SHOULD have won...

The clock was stopped for at LEAST 3 minutes but felt like 30... and Deering came back to score in the last 12 seconds to tie it.... we held onto the tie after 2 overtimes.... so frustrating....it should have been a W

Phew.... it was a crazy week but the weather was STELLER... my girls played SO WELL and we did MORE than survive! Ready for the weekend!!!!!
