our new PTSA president told me at our summer meeting a couple of weeks ago about a place she heard about and had taken her youngest daughter....
we got to the end of the cemetery and couldn't believe what we saw.... 3-4 turtle/frog ponds.... and then.....
something I have never experienced in my LIFE....you let your eyes adjust to the murky water and you start to see small black painted turtles swimming towards you....
there was one point where two of the snapping turtles came right up and out of the water fighting... that was Miss B's favorite part.....
then we took a walk around the path that goes all the way around the turtle pond being very careful to be quiet... we saw all kinds of frogs
turtles sunning themselves....
and even a great blue heron giving himself a BATH... such an unexpected fun spot with wonderful girls!!
