The Weekend Report

Low-Key weekend which was just FINE.BY.ME. On Saturday Husband went out early to get the gals pastries from a bakery he loves that is closing sometime this spring... so sad.... and then we decided to have Minnie take us as a family trip to Rochester and go out to lunch.... no pics... but we had a really good time....Minnie was caught up watching as much Gather25 as she could and we ended the day snuggled in at home.... early night for Minnie and Husband... because they left the house before 5AM to head north to fish... 

The goal was a huge pike like Dawson's friend....

Unfortunately no pike...

But a giant bass!!!

It was SO SO COLD....

but the "biggest" catch of the day was a "mudpuppy" when Minnie was picking up her traps...

obviously she was on bottom and most def. the reason she didn't catch any pike...

but something you don't see everyday on your line... something with hands.....YUCK!

LOVE this smile on my pretty girl! Doing what she loves with people she adores!

Fun Friday: Basketball Banquet

On Wednesday night Minnie had her basketball banquet...see the pin there in the top right? Because she got her physical letter during soccer season she now just gets pins to put ON the letter...

She won an award and I couldn't be more proud... she worked SO HARD all season overcoming ALL KINDS of physical, emotional and MENTAL challenges and I am glad her coaches recognized how hard she worked to get through them.... I am excited to see her develop as a player....

but SUPER excited to watch her run, jump and chuck stuff in a few weeks! :)

HERE WE GO....

 Way back HERE.....we had no idea what we were getting into...but we were EXCITED for it :) 

Just didn't realize how QUICKLY we would be HERE.....

SO PROUD of all the hard work, hours, classroom instruction and driving she did to accomplish her GOAL....

Just not sure how I feel about my view....

But I loved my co-rider :) and we were not NEARLY as frightened as we appear... 

Minnie you are doing AWESOME and we are SO SO proud of you.... just wish these days had lasted a LITTLE longer....

The Weekend Report (End of February Break)

Ended va-ca week with a family birthday party celebrating Jan/Feb birthdays...and these were the only two pics I took....

On Saturday afternoon Husband and Minnie headed out with friends to set up for the annual fishing derby on the pond in our town happening on Sunday....I didn't make it out this year... too much with traffic and such so I am so grateful to the guys that texted me pics and Minnie for sending me some :)

Minnie was the BIG WINN-AH with a brand new PINK BIKE! :) We all teased her if the driving thing doesn't work out... at least she has wheels :)

So GRATEFUL for Husband taking them, teaching them and sharing his love of standing on hard water with his gals... they had a BLAST with friends all day riding snowmobiles, and wheelers, eating all KINDS of food and ending a great February break with a BANG!

February Break (Part 2)

Minnie was furiously trying to finish up her Driver's Ed driving with her instructor... she calls this "stalking"... I call it wanting to keep an eye on my kid :) 

On Wednesday night we headed to the "big city" to watch the first round of Civic Center (yep I am old) games.... 

and found surprise friends!!! :) Miss B snuggled my school RN's 6 month old baby the ENTIRE TIME and he was THRILLED to pieces :)

Fun to watch #15... game didn't go in their favor but it was close the whole time so it was fun...

On Friday Miss B headed to a tubing park for the day... she had an absolute BLAST with Ally and her family.... 

Meanwhile we took Minnie out to lunch to celebrate finishing her driving and it was nice to have 1x1 time with our big girl... 

Onto the WEEKEND REPORT....

The Weekend Report ~ February Break (Part 1)

 My girl makes me laugh.... I came downstairs one morning and saw she had updated the Family Calendar on the fridge with her vacation plans... :)

So on Saturday while Minnie, Husband and Sky headed fishing... Miss B and I got ready to host a couple of her friends for her first ever GALENTINE's party! She had asked me months ago if she could do something with some friends... I said sure... she invited a few and two sweet girls responded yes...

Lucky for us it was the day AFTER Valentine's so we snagged some 50% decorations and a couple of gifts, some snacks and had a plan READY... 

Miss B wanted to go sledding so sledding is what we did... 

We had the whole park to ourselves for about 6 minutes... it was SO weird... the last time I took the girls it was MOBBED... this time it was empty!

Conditions were not GREAT... lotta ice... trust me... (OUCH) but these three had the best time hanging out, making track implements to throw, and catch up. (One of them goes to another school this year so it was SO fun for them to be together!)

We came home and I threw their "lunch" together :) Up and down that hill had them finishing this board in NO time...
