Whooooppiiieeee

I love them BOTH but I'm so glad the one with arrows around her head :) is HOME FOR THE SUMMER!!!! :)

Welcome home O'Boyz!!!! :)

Track is OVER!!

Well... "officially" I guess but there is still the big regional meet this weekend... Husband has TWO girls competing. VERY impressive! Tonight (Tuesday) was our (his) :) annual BBQ banquet... BYOMeat to grill and hang out, get awards, name captians for next year blah blah blah :) good time :) (honestly, he is the CUTEST thing EVER!! :)

Every year... there is one.... one girl that he tries to give the coach's award to and he loses it. I find this ENDEARING coming from a man who swore that he would NEVER coach girls to his female college professor... guess what he's been doing for almost 20 years? :) tee hee hee... I do think God has a sense of humor :) he LOVES these girls... so this year it was Katherine... he honestly could NOT get through the speech.... So we all nervously laugh and he chuckles... and says "Katherine, just come up here!!!" :) Honestly... it's a good thing this one below is pretty much a guaranteed MVP (highest points scored) because I canNOT imagine him making it through a GA speech next year.... :) We do LOVE this girl!
Baby, you are the WORLD'S greatest coach! (I should know! ~ stealing your witty comeback Tracy! :) I am so proud of you!!! I love you!!

Speaking of love.... I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NEW GREEN TANK TOP! :) WORE it tonight Bets and I LOVE IT!!!!! LOVE the color, LOVE the fit, LOVE LOVE LOVE the tank! :) I know you don't like green but I sure am glad that you bought this for ME :) :) thank you!

Couple of things...

Found THIS under the register in the dining area last night. J.T. I can hear you laughing from here.... :) Thoughts? Someone left a pen in his pocket (no naming any names here) and yes it went ALL through our laundry. I treated our clothes with Zout (my mother swears by the stuff and we'll see if I am singing its praises when I get home tonight) but Husband tried to get the pen out of the dryer last night and it is NOT coming off... course when you rub it with your finger it smears and spreads all over so you KNOW when we run the next load of wet clothes through it will get all over them as well. HOW do we get this pen off the inside of the dryer!?!?!?!

Birthday party ROUND 3

Almost Forever wasn't kidding when she said here (click for link) that I like to celebrate ALL month long! :)

What's that? you only saw round 1 last Monday night?? oh yes... Round 2 was Wednesday night... Husband's actual birthday when we hosted another Varsity Track Girls Spaghetti dinner :) two other girls on his team celebrate on 6/4 and one other celebrates with me on 6/3 :) Good times.... so today... was ROUND 3 and MAN DID WE GET SOME LOOT!!! :)I LOVE all my presents but love love love the t-shirt from Old Navy C-D family, tank top is a PERFECT color, skirt R family and clicker stuff Mama and L!! :) LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Thanks to L&L we were able to cool off (it was close to 90 here today!!!) and play pool side! Good times! :)

Mama made my "cake". Husband's too but I only care about my rice krispie treats :) YUM YUM YUM! I really hope Sky is feeling alright tonight since at last count she dogged 4 of them... was it 5? there was also an incident with a chair but we are NOT going to mention that here... in all seriousness, SO sorry.

What party at the R house would be complete without a game of wiffle ball!?!? I think nothing makes the two little boys happier :)
Moving along...

Little shout out to Lynne who is one of those standing up (FAR LEFT 2ND ONE IN) in church being honored for graduating. YOU GO GIRL! :)

our weekend was pretty darn awesome... how was yours?

No official results yet....

but I wanted to get these pics up of how Husband spent his Saturday... I was only there for about an hour and a 1/2 but it was a nice little visit with my lovie Laura Jane :)

Oh.My.Sides.

Stealing a line from Tracy ~ so we had our friends M&J over for dinner. J and I have been friends even longer than Almost Forever and I, if you count the fact that we have been friends since we were in utero! :) (PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT SHE LOOKS like I'M the loonie one! :)Our fathers went to high school together and our parents have been friends for more than 35 years. Whoa. :) So J and I thought it would be fun to have each of our sets of parents over for dessert and to play THIS GAME ~ hysTERical! Seriously, when our fathers are laughing so hard they have tears rolling down their faces... I think its a successful game night :) Pre-play pictures. I wanted to make sure if it didn't go well they had proof that they really do LOVE each other :) I think these guys need some work :) bah!

Uncle B and Aunt J were SUCH good sports! Husband claimed he didn't think that Uncle B would do the "penalty" cards but he was all about them! :) Here they lost the penalty and had to wear shades for two rounds. Course they have to take it to the NEXT level and throw on the hats for extra silliness! :) For some reason they ended up with the next penalty as well. Here is where I am grouchy that I'm dealing with dial-up because I have the FUNNIEST video of this little exchange. Aunt J had to tell the group a number between 1-10. She said 7. She then had to stuff that many jet-puffed marshmallows into Uncle B's mouth and he had to try and recite their wedding vows. Needless to say, the marshmallows ended up getting spit in the trash because he was just about choking and CountryDad was busy wiping his eyes and making the weirdest noises like he couldn't BREATH he was laughing so hard :) Clearly CountryMum can't keep it together either... :) All in all a FANTASTIC night and I can't WAIT to do it again SOON!!! :) :)

SURPRISE!!!!

Later Date :) (Picture is only about 4-5 years old judging by the size of Rebound :)

When I got home yesterday (Husband had gone to run errands after Track so I was the first one home) I noticed the outside lights were on... weird... I thought to myself but maybe I just didn't notice when I'd left the house in the AM... I came through the door and put my stuff down and proceeded to head upstairs to change my clothes.... as I was walking up the stairs I noticed that the living room lights were on.... I knew I had not turned them on but thought perhaps Husband had and because it was light out when I left maybe I didn't notice that either before I left for work.... I looked across the balcony and saw that the basketball hoop had been taken off the rungs of the balcony (yes we do have a nerf hoop set up in our living room... :) then I noticed that Husband's lamp on his nightstand was UNPLUGGED. Ok, NOW I'm starting to FREEEEAAAKKKK out.... I did not make my bed that morning, there were some "unmentionables" on the bed and I KNEW someone had been in my bedroom.... I grabbed the upstairs phone and called Husband IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I calmly (yah right) asked if he had been home yet praying that was the case but he assured me he had gone straight to do errands. I started to run through the above list and he started to chuckle.... L.R. he said... :) our brother in law.... I said WHAT? Why was he here??? he said that L.R. had left him a voicemail on his phone to let him know he'd come over to fix our deck railing and repair some of the ballisters that had come loose on our balcony inside.

WHAT A SURPRISE AND A WONDERFUL thing to come home to!!! :) Now if I could just get him to call paranoid wife and leave ME a message :)

Thanks so much L.R. and know that I have created your own version of a honey-do list that you will find on the fridge the next time you want to let yourself in to do some household repairs! :) :) And no worries... we'll gladly pay the extra on the electric bill from the lights being left on! :)
