Two Weeks-ish...

until all their hard work in pre-marital counseling will be put to the TEST :)

we had the privilege of  going through 8 weeks (I KNOW!) of pre-marital counseling with GA and her fiancé (please say it like on Seinfeld) :)   

on our last Sunday night together we grilled out, they played with the gals and we had a BLAST!

they did their homework... based everything on Biblical principles

and they have kept their senses of humor :)

they will be just fine... :)

We FINALLY have had a taste of what we are ALL hoping is coming... sunshine and warm weather... course it is back to STINKIN' COLD but look how happy these kids are to be in short sleeved shirts and clickers!!! We played outside last Friday with the C kids... rode bikes, did chalk in the driveway and enjoyed the SUNSHINE!

FAMILY TIME!!!

Last Saturday was GORGEOUS!!!! We packed up the kids, snacks, drinks, and headed out before 9AM... there was a free movie for kids about the story of Jesus life that we knew Minnie would LOVE... from there we just kept traveling north... finally ended up in the town with the WORLD FAMOUS "boot" if you get my drift and just enjoyed the weather, the walking and EACH OTHER!

 

and of course NAPTIME :)

and Mama got 10 glorious minutes of quiet in the sunshine... AMAZING!

good thing for her I don't eat vanilla ice cream :)

We didn't get home until 5PM, watched a kiddie movie and ate hot dogs for dinner... we all went to bed with full happy hearts that is FOR SURE!

Shower #2 for Momma S

Has it REALLY been FIVE years since we've done anything like THIS for Momma S? Time sure flies when you are raisin' babies! :)

 

 

Because Momma S doesn't find out what she is having... ahem. We went with the gender neutral "woodland" theme :) Rustic, quiet, white lights and owls...

The Hospitality Committee at church are ROCK stars! I give them ideas and direction and they RUN WITH IT :) I LOVE THEM ALL!!! Worker bees for SURE. They get so much done, with love, and happiness!

Momma S already had a WILD AND CRAZY party I thought we should make this one more intimate, more quiet and DARK. :) We hosted dinner for the ladies at church and served pizza ;) owls of course :)

She "claims" to have been surprised and we think maybe she was ;) threw her off a little bit with a Friday night vs. a Sunday right after church. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

A wonderful night of food, fellowship, women chatter and blessing our friend in anticipation of her new BABE ;) WE CAN'T WAIT!
