HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODDY-HOT!!

What started out as a simple request... "will there be room at the Casa?" Turned into the birthday EXTRODINARE!!! :)

 

Toddy-Hot called me a week or so before our camping trip to ask if he could come down for a day or so... we came home EARLY from our trip and I realized then that it was going to be his bday while he was in our home... you all know I love to make CAKE... well... BIRTHDAY CAKE :) So I set to work on the family recipe. It is my Aunt Lee's before she went all "crunchy hippy" :) and the extended family has claimed it as their own family birthday treat. Some like it with raspberry filling, some like it just chocolate but for Toddy-Hot I did what I thought HE'D like... chocolate and PB!!! :) YUMMMMMMMMM

When he arrived we spent some time outside and then came in for his fav. meal of red meat, potatoes and of course the cake. :) We Skyped with his parents...

and I think he was pretty happy :)

The next AM we were trying to decide what to do on his ACTUAL b-day... go fishing (one of his favs and you know you don't have to twist Husband's arm) or head to spend his Cabela's G.C.? We headed north, taking Route 1 and our time. Good thing we did... in the route north we found out that Toddy-Hot's brother had landed in the big city with his family (on their way to Halifax) and would we like to do lunch...um... family he rarely sees... ON HIS BIRTHDAY... YES PLEASE!!!

 

Minnie made fast friends with her never met before 4th? cousins...but then again who DOESN'T bond over BBQ right?

The extra extended family ended up coming back to spend the night at the CountryRents so the party just kept going....

T.H. said it was one of the TOP FIVE birthdays for SURE and that is good enough in my book. What a special time of celebrating a great guy ~ all SPONTANEOUSLY! :) Good times. :)
