Catchin' up

We "all" (not me) *thought* spring was here....

But it was nice to see a few glimpses of it and a couple of 60+ degree days...

Jammies, memory and hair salon... I LOVE it when they are BFF's...

This guy is hanging in... no better no worse... he goes in tomorrow for his day at the Vet... no food or drink after 10PM tonight...

Chicks are getting back on it after a few cold weeks of taking a break....

Crazy colors....

and speaking of CRAZY.... Crazy Hair day at school....her choice.... my morning project before 7AM

Miss B was able to do a sewing class with a LOT of her 3rd grade buds, including the one she got a gift certificate for for her birthday! :)

her absolute fav....

After Miss B's class we got together with our friends for a BBQ... there are THREE additional children that are NOT shown... man we have a gaggle of kids between 3 families ;)

BUT I wouldn't trade it for the world with this crew... So much fun FINALLY being together again!

Considering a year ago our visit looked like this....

On Friday, Husband sent me a chat message saying that he was starting to move a kidney stone... he was fairly miserable by Friday night and called his specialist to see about getting an updated Rx. Because it has been several years since he has been there and because his doctor has left... they said they couldn't be certain that it was a stone and to go to the ER with any pain. Um. What? He had scans in September from the oncologist and there were MULTIPLE stones in EACH kidney... but you can't be "certain"?  How about trusting the patient who has had extensive experience with stones!?!? I was NOT.HAPPY. Saturday, he woke up still in pain but able to stay on top of it by taking prescription doses of Advil and moving. On Saturday night... it went downhill. We were up all night, he could not get comfortable and he was down for the count right after church....

He laid down immediately when we got home and did not get up until about 5:00 when I finally convinced him to take a bath and eat something around 6...thankfully he was able to sleep on Sunday night but stayed home from work and the 1st day of TRACK (which didn't even happen when he had his colon surgery I don't think!) trying to get a plan to get rid of the stone. The specialist wants a referall and for him to go to the ER, the Dr says go to the ER.... why won't people just schedule an X-RAY so that you can figure out where it is, if his kidney is swelling and if he can pass it.... none of it makes sense to me.... everyone passing the buck...

So today he is back up and at 'em.... full 10+ hour day and says "it's mostly just uncomfortable" :( poor guy!

Welcome to our insurance driven government regulated health care. As for all the KIDS some were slower than others to figure it out....
