We were READY for it...
Up and at 'em and out of the house by 6:30ish... not home again until 9:00 Happy Birthday to Miss B!
Minnie's last USATF Youth Summer Track meet....these two have been track buddies their ENTIRE
lives...
So sweet to watch them! C-Line was working the meet this year but I snapped a quick pic at the end of the day...next year....Varsity together!
In true track meet fashion I had TWO kids on OPPOSITE sides of 2 football fields away at the EXACT same time.... I ran (literally... no pun intended) to watch Miss B as her nerves were getting the best of her....
and as soon as she chucked her last shot I ran to watch Minnie throw her last two javs...
It went PRETTY well for her :)
and for Miss B! She was seeded higher and while she has done better in the past solid place for her!
back to the OTHER end to watch Miss B throw her fav....the disc...
my view of the "other side".... whew 1000 athletes and all their parents, grandparents, family, etc.... it's a LOTTA people....

Before we headed BACK to the throws area Minnie threw down a 100m
and then it was time for her to do shot... 
She threw a couple (out of 4) and the USATF official holding the clipboard said to her (I found out later) that she was close to a state record... well what do you know... she threw her 3rd and SET A MAINE STATE RECORD! He told the boys that were helping him measure NOT TO MOVE once they marked it and not to TOUCH THE SHOT... Minnie looked over at her coach and then at Husband and I and I had NO IDEA what was happening.... I thought she was in trouble... it was all so serious... he then proceeded to tell the crowd that a new state record had been set and they moved the shot off to the other side because I guess you can't use it again.... she came up for her final throw.... and broke her previous record.... the whole thing went down again and he looked at her and said... "I'm not going to have any shots left!!" :)
At States they announce over the loud speaker the winners of the events starting at 6th place... and when you set a new STATE RECORD lemme tell you... the place goes nuts... or maybe that was just her Momma....
"And with a throw of 33.525 a new STATE RECORD.... Siena Carbone... Mustang Trailblazers" Such an amazing moment for this Momma!
From shot to disc with her buddies...these three are happy that they will ALL be wearing green....at least for this year...
Hot, Sweaty, Tired, Hungry....but happy....
So happy!
Husband has poured into these gals since they were all 7 years old... and now he gets them for his Varsity team this spring!
and of course the gals wanted the celebration to continue... it was Miss B's birthday after all!!! 
So we all had to sing Happy Birthday in the middle of Chick-fil-A :)
That's some serious hardware for this crew...so proud of my gals... they worked so hard and did such an AMAZING job!!!
