my friend Myles came all the way from TWO STATES over to visit with me on Thursday morning. I sure have missed him...I was especially excited that he brought "nacks"...

he didn't appear psyched when I tried to help myself...

his Mama tried to referee us...

but my friend Myles just wasn't having any of me trying to STEAL his food? I don't get it?

we worked it out so that he could hold ALL the snacks and the Mamas would just hand them to me...

he still wasn't really thrilled about that but I think he tolerated me...

or not...

there I went stealing his food again...

he was a MUCH bigger fan of me when I wasn't in the "nack" vicinity...

This is just funny. This is JUST my BFF and this is JUST something I think about when I'm running late for things and seems to happen more often now with Minnie :)

1 Corinthians 13:1-8
1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

I know this is used in EVERY wedding right now and ANYTIME anyone says ANYTHING about love and the Bible but it really IS my favorite passage. There is something in this scripture EVERYDAY that I can work on, that I can tweek and that I can pay attention to. It is what I strive to be in my friendships, my mothering and as a wife.

Catching Up... Post 2 of 2

Guess who surprised EVERYONE and came home for her spring break!?!!? :) YAHOOOOO!!! GA IS HOME GA IS HOME!!! On Tuesday we had plans to have LJC and her honey over for dinner...I asked GA to come too and when I ran into (not literally) Kschnides on the road that day I called to see if she wanted to come and hang out with her bud too! :) We had a GREAT time... and did a project to boot...

well... SOME of us did... some of us played the baby card and hung out with Minnie instead of creating something "Crafty" :) ah well... someone had to do it :)

GA and I had seen these bracelets on this blog ~ I made a phone call to a local upholstery shop to see if they had any leather scraps, of course enlisted MIL's help with sewing supplies :) and we were OFF.... We needed the Husband for the FIRE... oh yes... there was FIRE involved.

a blow torch even :) AS I look at this pic I wonder to myself... should we have gotten a signed permission slip before allowing her to use a blow torch?? :)

On Saturday, Minnie and I had the priviledge and honor of attending a baby shower... for Mama H anticipating the arrival of her baby... SOMETIME :) Everyday is one day closer... isn't the cake GORGEOUS!?!?!? Made by Pheebs mom....picture to follow... the event was hosted by her two girls... can't you feel the love?

there was a Texan theme since that will be the state her babe is coming from and the girls did a great job.

Minnie got to skip her nap and eat "nacks" (as she calls them) so she was a fairly happy girl
