Is That The End?

On November 17th....Husband was having MAJOR surgery and BOTH girls were trying out for their respective basketball teams.

The amount of tears, conversations, discussions, prayer, thought, time in the car, with Minnie in that week (and some weeks to follow) regarding basketball and the season ahead...was hard...

When I would feel like that I kept thinking of this picture I took...where I tried to make our make-shift bedroom a cozy sanctuary....

fast forward 3 months later and we are bumped, bruised, tired, some of us are still cut open... but we survived. And we didn't JUST survive but we made it ALL THE WAY TO PLAYOFFS!? Who wouldha thought?

My girl WORKED this season... she was 110% every practice, every meeting, every film, every game. 110%. If you click on the picture below you can zoom in on her knees. (Granted it was from tripping over a teammate in practice but still...) NOTHING slowed her down....

They battled the whole game and it was looking good... until 1/2 time...

They could not hang....

There were a LOT of tears at the end of this game... I think knowing the season was FINALLY over, how hard she worked, being disappointed with the loss... but through her tears... her first question to Sky... "can you do my nails this weekend?" Hahahaha!

We thought and talked about this quote often during the season...

and after the final game and she was off with some friends I texted her these screenshots...

We'll wait a few months before we ask her to answer that... some stuff still feels very raw...

Well done kid. You did a great job. We are ALL so proud of you. We love you.
