That's a Wrap

Bball season is "officially" over in the Mouse House... Minnie had to go to THEIR house for the first round of playoffs... 

And these two were back at it again... matched up and so fun to watch...

Ella has struggled a bit this season but this game she was ON FIRE... We were down two starters and we did the BEST we could with what we had but it just wasn't enough...

Still so VERY fun to watch these two battle it out...

My girl was hurt, defeated and disappointed... but I did love seeing her go through the handshake line and then swing BACK around to give Ella and her friend Lyla a hug...I WISH I would have had my phone out for that... but as HTED says... we Mama's know it happened and that's what counts!! 

She also came home with a fat lip and a tooth with a "concussion" that the dentist is keeping an eye on... pretty sure she'll be just fine but a follow up x-ray in March just to be safe...

The assistant coach's wife sent me this pic and I couldn't LOVE it more... she didn't make this shot but she FOLLOWED IT... snagged the rebound and put it in for 2... my girl works HARD..... there were some rough patches along the way just like soccer... but I tell yah.... 

any "trouble" from the Coach in her Spring sport.... and I might not stay so quiet... ;) hee hee hee

The Weekend Report

While Husband and his buddies were off AGAIN this weekend catching fish like THESE... 

After practice on Saturday SIL L, Sky, the gals and I headed out on a MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.... Get Minnie a new jacket and snow pants....

I am embarrassed to admit that my ice fishing/winter outdoor girl has been borrowing her sister's snow pants and her jacket is too small... course this is the same girl who wore size 11 boots that were at LEAST 2 sizes too small just so that she could get out on the ice but STILL.... My girl needs GEAR!!!!

We had "some" success with a jacket... the the one I REALLY wanted they didn't have but we got the next level down... and she's happy with the purchase.... plus it was 60% off. Hooray! No luck with snow pants though...bummer... we were able to try on a few pairs to get a sizing gage... but they are sold out EVERYWHERE.... BUMMER....

Sunday morning we woke up to a FOOT OF SNOW... and he could NOT have been happier

Gals and I cleaned up, hung out and started watching the Puppy Bowl... and you can see who ELSE was interested.... until it was time for.....

THAT was fast... Last Driver's Ed and they BOTH passed their written test with FLYING colors! They even did a kahoot as a review before the test and Minnie WON out of everyone in the class! :) Now she just needs her 10 hours of driving with the instructor and she'll be "Driving Miss Daisy".... 

Yikes! :)

All the Bball

With an impending storm headed our way it was ALL the basketball....

On Tuesday after Minnie had practice we had to head to San-fid to watch them play Gorham. The loser of that game is who we play first round of the playoffs. I made a quick appetizer of burrata for Miss B, Husband and I (and I packed some for Minnie) YUM!

I ran right over and snagged a quick pic so we could send it to our group chat :)

Boxing out like a boss! Unfortunately they lost so it looks like us vs. them next week...

On Wednesday they came to OUR house....

This girl has NO IDEA what to do with an inside sport that is as BUCK WILD.... :)

So lucky to have this girl at a soccer game and then her sister at a bball game! She was FUN to sit with!!

The Weekend Report

 While Husband was in HER favorite place doing THIS....

She was doing THIS... She would MUCH rather have been north with her Dad and buddies....

Especially since she got the crap beat out of her...

It was a snowstorm when we left so she came home with me vs. riding the bus and I snagged them McD's on our way home....

On Saturday she had practice and got invited to go ice fishing (bless the LORD oh my soul) on Sunday... so we ran around getting bait and getting her ready.... Saturday night... no photographic evidence but JJ saved my life... quite literally... when I ran out of insulin and my Rx had "expired". You know... incase I was CURED of my T1D.... but he hooked me up and I have a stash now... #rookiemistake

She has learned from her Daddy.... 

Miss B woke us all up BRIGHT and early (5:30) Sunday AM so we could bring Minnie about 45 min away to the derby... she was the first one to show up out of her friend group and fished for about 2 hours with Bella's dad :) He loved it! Miss B and I swung into the bakery that is right there and snagged some donuts for she, Minnie and Husband. 

Miss B and I headed to SS and church and I caught this sweet moment during worship between MIL and Ruby...too cute!

Miss B and I snuck out a little early and had a little lunch date and did some shopping.

Meanwhile.... Minnie was having the time of her LIFE!

Only caught 1 fish and it wasn't even on HER trap but she didn't care... frozen water, fresh air, fishing and friends... filled her cup for sure! 

Minnie wanted to hang for the prizes and to hear if Bella's brother was going to win anything and I looked around at Redneck City Central and just giggled.... 

We came home and our GUY WAS HOME!! HOORAY!!!!

Now we get to do it all over again THIS weekend when he heads for NH!

The ONLY Fun-ish....

I did make it to watch my gals this week... 

Minnie took a punch to the face which resulted in a bloody nose but they packed it and she was right back out there! Tough cookie!

Miss B WON the 1/2 time foul shooting competition.... Gift card to a local garage. Great. Just what every 12 year old girl wants! :)

With Husband out of town... it's me and my co-pilot for late night practice pick ups....
