They really do LOVE each other...

Defense is still figuring out that he's below her on the family hierarchy but this girl... she loves him with everything that is in her... unconditionally and all.the.time.

Pool Day

Last Friday (what? where is the summer going and why is it so fast?) we jumped into Aunt Nancy and "Bob's" pool!

and some of us sat in the shade (me included) :)

Auntie and "Bob" are so kind and generous with their pool... popsicles and fun!

Did I mention FUN? :)

Miss B was able to take her splint off to enjoy the water... we just didn't let her do any more JUMPING :)

Just Daddy throwing :)

This girl LOVES the water and when you pair it with this guy (who keeps her charged with freeze pops)... she's a pretty happy camper :)

I think the feeling is mutual since he let her almost officially change his name :) I mean... he's got the t-shirt now :)
Thank you Auntie and "Bob" for a wonderful day at the pool! Let's do it again!! :)

So this...

was my yesterday afternoon...

and my email to a sweet friend regarding the days events...

Jumped off the toy box in the den (after being told it wasn't a good idea and she ASSURED me she "wouldn't get hurt" :) always famous last words ;) crashed hard and I thought she was going to be OK after we put her leg up on the couch with some ice but when I asked her to come to the table for lunch she cried and freaked again and wouldn't put any weight on it. :(

Buckle fractures (again) this time in two bones on the top of her foot. Splinted up (again) for the next couple of days and then by the weekend she should be good to go...

Here is our current memory verse. I JUST put it on the boards today "Give THANKS to the Lord for He is GOOD. His love endures forever" Ps. 136:1

I was told at the ER it was broken and they would cast it... Driving from the ER to the Doc, I just gave thanks for anything and everything I could think of on the way, and PRAYED for a miracle. The Lord HEARD my prayers and a MIRACLE was had. (AGAIN!)

It was a crazy afternoon but it could not have gone MORE smoothly... the Urgent Care was very quick considering....and the Orthopedic doc was going to see us on Friday but they got us in that VERY afternoon... Miss B never even woke up (I transported her from this bed, to the car seat, stopped at MIL's to check on Minnie and make arrangements for her and then drive to a neighboring town 30 min. away where she FINALLY woke up ;) Poor kid fell asleep at one ER and woke up at another Doctor office and had no idea how it happened :)

Could not have done yesterday without my family... they were there to take care of big girls, check in on little girls and make sure their MAMA was a-ok. Love you all!

She's doing OK today... has had some tender points (trying to walk uphill outside) but for the most part she is gimping along just fine. Praying the fact that we kept it low-key today she'll be mostly back to her speedy adventurous self in no time!

RA an update..of sorts...

I sort of left it hanging back HERE but not much has changed... really. Except that it kinda has...

My B/W came back saying that I did NOT have Lyme. Yipppeee... (more on that later)

On June 5th Husband and I had our follow up with the RA doc. The appointment felt completely different than it did the first time I met him. He shut me off when I started to tell him that I had tried a 30 day elimination diet stating "that's not going to work." (RAH) and just didn't feel like we are a good "fit".

He did agree to let me try the "least toxic" RA med with his disclaimer that he didn't think it would work. This past week I had Husband pick up my Rx of Plaquenil... I've yet to take it.

In the meantime, like last week... I got bit by something. It was itchy and felt like a deer fly bite. Over the weekend the spot got progressively bigger and more typical to a tick bite. On Monday I was able to get in and see an NP... they did confirm a tick bite and I'm on an antibiotic for the next THREE weeks... or longer if the spot does not COMPLETELY go away.

Wouldn't be summer vacation without SOME sort of medical drama right?

EDITED (with pics from Sky) back at it... ANNUAL 4th of July Camping Trip

I was painfully convinced by one of these two (not mentioning any names SKYLAR) to pack it up and camp again this year. You remember the disaster that was 2013 aka Miss B NEVER.EVER.SLEPT? Thank GOODNESS we did NOT have a repeat of THAT biz-ness.

What we did have was pretty great weather...

some AMAZING friends...

and of course... COUSINS! :)

Having the D Crew along just MADE it for my kiddos. It was so nice to have similar "energy" levels for the kiddos. They did tons of bike riding (and just wearing the helmets around ;)

Playing on the playground at the beach..

and even napping together (thanks again Liz for taking the walk :)

Please note the adorable jammies in this picture (and the time of probably 7AM :)

Then of course there was the FOOD... I had seen someone post this on FB so between Bets, SIL L and I we combined ingredients and gave them a whirl. Feedback was that most people liked them, the kiddos LOVED building their own... I wasn't a big fan of the "smoky" taste...

and this girl's was an "epic fail" :)

Sweetest moment... "MYAH... I can see the FIRE in your eyes!!" :)

We tried a "new" place, as in, we'd never camped there before and the last time we were actually THERE, Husband and I were engaged and Skylar was in SIL L's belly... crazy.

Such a pretty lake...

By far the best part... being with my crew for FOUR days... well that... and the double stuffed Oreos of course :)

I am SO grateful!
