Annual "Ladies" Ornament Swap

The first year we did this it was at my friend Tami's house... that was about 18+ years ago... it started as a women's ministry thing with our church... fast forward, she moved on... both churches and homes... I sort of "took it over"... and it has expanded... one year I had 7 ladies... (I'm guessing two of them I refer to as "Mom/Mama") but this year there were 23!!!!

My living room was full... my dining room table crowded with snacks and treats...

and much fun was to be had!

 

Fuzzy but Fun! I really DO the party for the girl on the left and the girl on the right... drove an HOUR AND 1/2 TO PARTY WITH US... HOW BLESSED ARE WE?

Such a blessing to me to have all these girls in my home and so thankful for a Hubs who "escapes" with the little ladies....

 

Back in 2007....Taylor Family Christmas

I blogged just a few times... started in August and in December I blogged about Taylor Family Christmas...

This year was def. a "bit" different... to say the least, but we had a wonderful time, memories were shared and laughter was still a big part of our night. And when you have THIS MANY adorable children...

you can't help but have a great time!

Great time with family, really happy that it all came together and we def. missed the ones who were not there....

 

Plans gone array....

Last Saturday we headed out on a family adventure... in "Champs"... planned on making a few shopping stops, catching a bball game and heading to a birthday party.... 15 min into the ride and we could tell there was something NOT right with the engine... we turned around drove straight to the mechanic and heard "you should not drive this... bring it back on Monday" :(

 

We thought about bagging all our morning plans and just staying home until the party but decided to continue on as planned... an hour later... and with Country Mouse IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK.

Hrmm... what is wrong with this picture?

Our boy just really doesn't FIT in the back squished next to Miss B anymore and it exhausts me to continue turning around to tell them NOT to touch, lick, pinch or LOOK at each other :)

The day was fun, the game was GREAT but the birthday party... so awesome!

Celebrating this guy...always a good time. Love him!

So her sister couldn't make the trek home the night before and she didn't make it past 5PM....

*"Champs" spent a few days at our mechanic before he decided we needed to bring it to a dealership. So now we are headed into another week of no vehicle but MAYBE it is a GM issue and MAYBE we won't have to pay for it... praying hard. And shopping for something ELSE. RAH!

Picture overload warning but I just loved them all and the thought that it might be D's last year made me want to capture every moment!

We went back this year to our favorite farm. It was SUNNY, mid-50's and an AMAZING day to gather up our Christmas tree this year. GLORIOUS weather! Clearly the sled still works even on hot pavement :)

Ah this crew... I need to dig through my pictures to figure out really when the two big ones started coming with us but it has been a LONG time. I tease Dawson that next year he's going to be making up excuses about finals and studying and hogwash that is all going to be true!! :(

 

This girl... functioning on fun, no sleep, party party party weekend and did I mention NO sleep!?

While we waited for said lumberjack (because literally NONE of us EVER help poor Husband ;) Dawson thought it would be fun to try jumping off this 3 foot wiggly stump....

"Snow" Much FUN even if there was no snow! Our tree is smaller than we normally do... big giant puppy don't forget... :) but it is beautiful and cozy in my living room now... who's coming over for Christmas movies?
