First Day of School

1st day of 4th grade and the FIRST time she has EVER been in school WITHOUT her big sister...

and the drop-off lane... you just NEVER know what a day is going to bring when you work in education of little people....

 

End of Summer

Too hard to pick just one when Curry is just so silly and the girls are just so pretty!

This was a day I was "supposed" to work... but they call them "Flex Days" so I'm going to flex it into February when it's freezing and I don't want to ice fish.... ;) This is my HAPPY PLACE...

 

20 Years...

Most days it still feels like newlyweds... 

Until we remember we have two kids, a gazillion obligations, a million sports and full-time jobs!

But sneaking away for a nice? dinner and having the house to ourselves for an evening brings it all right back... I love you Husband....Let's go for 50 more....

 

Middle School Open House

I mean SERIOUSLY how is she in MIDDLE SCHOOL? 

CUZ THIS WAS YESTERDAY!

I do love that it was only supposed to be parents to cut down on the number of people in the building but when her Daddy is technically supposed to BE there as a TEACHER.....Miss B comes along for the ride! (and ended up staying with Jess in her NEW OFFICE AS A GUIDANCE COUNSELOR!)

 

Miss B's Bday Party

This is the ONLY picture I care about at Miss B's bday party because it's TRADITION! Thankful to Sky for capturing it... BUT I am sad that I didn't snag pictures of the ice cream sundae toppings, DIY subway sandwiches, adults or the two bday girls we celebrated (Chloe was in on the action!)

It was cool and RAINY for her party but these crazy kids didn't care! So happy the boys were able to come and Miss B was THRILLED they made it!

I had offered to bring the P gals home and Miss B asked if they could just stay for a little while... um.... always... :)

Fun with Friends

We had scheduled a quiet day at home when my car was getting detailed yesterday and Husband's truck was acting up a bit... but I do love me some spontaneous plans! Jess swung by to pick up hand-me-downs for her girls and two of them got out to stay so that she only had to have 50% with her at the grocery store.....fun for Miss B!

Then we found out that Miss Dayna had invited both families to the lake house for boating and a BBQ...

The pics I took of Miss Dayna didn't come out great so just pics of the Trem family because the gals were CRACKING me up....

Husband was KILLING this girl who hates everyone :) hahaha!

Partners Bank is in Kingston!

While we were on vacation Dawson texted me and said "do you want to be in a commercial?" My response was... "what? why?" Apparently it was fishing themed... not sure why he thought of us.. hee hee... Minnie and I were NOT fans of "acting" but Miss B and Husband were AWESOME!

Rangeley Vacation 2021

Last week as soon as States was over we packed up and headed north to our favorite destination. It took us all of about 45 min. to race through the unpacking and head for the beach....

Being at this spot with my favorite people in our beautiful state on a warm summer afternoon makes my heart so full and happy

We celebrated Miss B's NINETH birthday with tubing and ice cream!!!

We were not able to get out on the boat in the morning to fish on her actual birthday so the next day it was decided she'd catch the first fish....

Little did we know it was going to be the ONLY fish!

Gotta love them dirt roads....

This was the first year that we spent several EVENINGS around sunset at the beach... it's a must do from now on as far as I'm concerned... this view...

Sky and SIL L came for a night and as soon as they got there we had dinner and headed down to the water.....

SOME people may have jumped in with all their clothes on... ;) 

The next morning we got up and headed right out to hike Bald Mountain. It is something I have wanted to do for several years and with the fit chicks staying with us it was the perfect opportunity. Sadly it had rained the night before and the weather was so humid so the trail was super slippery and tough...

So thankful he goes along with all my crazy ideas ;)

We FINALLY made it to the top... it was WAY harder than ANYONE anticipated after what we had read online and now that we have all done it...

Pretty sure no one wants to do it again :) 

I was SUPER proud of my blood sugar management DURING the hike... coming back and eating ONE pancake with syrup was not my best choice but during the HIKE I was a rockstar!

Sky and SIL L left and the Penney's got there! They stayed at a house closer to in town and came to enjoy the beach with us after the gals had a sleepover with them

Love this zoo crew....

We headed home and loved every second... even if the well was running dry and we couldn't shower ;) We sure do LOVE our time in Rangeley with our crew!
