The Week Thus Far

Soccer pics are in... hard to be serious when your friends are making you laugh behind the camera...

and hard not to LAUGH at this... oh we got some good giggles out of this hairdo...

but ultimately what will end up on my fridge....
Next to this :)
On Tuesday Miss B had a riding lesson so Minnie asked Titi if she'd pick her up at the gym entrance so she could go hang out with her for a bit... Titi always says yes :)
I picked her up on our way to the lesson and I wish you could hear through the computer this little girl's squeeeels of delight and screaming SIIIIEEEENNNNAAA! STRAIGHT to the trampoline they went...

Miss B got a lesson with another girl and I think that was SO great for her.. she could watch the older more experienced rider and it really boosted her confidence.

This girl and her horse time...

Meanwhile Sky came home from dance and they took to the DIRT pile... eee boy... baby rednecks!

Nothing like a fresh pile of dirt....
I mean remember THIS!?!?! My gals have always loved a good dirt pile :)

I think Nyah loved EVERY second of her time with my big girl and my big girl LOVED every second of her Tuesday afternoon :)

The Weekend Report

On Friday night we got CJ!!!!! Hip hip HOORAY! We fed him Mexican, snuggled him on the couch and we all headed to bed early because he was HEADED OUT FOR YOUTH DAY!!!
The boys were up around 5:30 and headed for the woods around 6:35... I came down to snag some coffee around 7:25 and a few sips in heard the unmistakable sound of a gun going off in my yard... :) Sure enough... about 40 min into the hunt it was his FIRST DOE DOWN! Once they did all the gross and yucky things you need to do with a down deer they hauled us gals out to give us the play by play...

He had a GREAT shot, was SPOT on and was riding a high for sure! So was Uncle Scott! He was so so proud of him!!!

92lbs once it was all said and done and he had the meat all ready to be picked up from the butcher by Sunday night! He was psyched!

After the crazy of the AM, cleaning it, taking it up the road where Grampa was to show him, getting it tagged... they came back and Minnie had thrown together her maple french toast breakfast casserole (the night before), I scrambled up some eggs and cooked up some bacon! We had a FEAST!

SO happy for him and proud of how he purses his interests. Love this kid!

Pretty sure this was just last week....😩

Once Husband and the gals got back from dropping off the deer at the butcher and CJ at home... Minnie ran to Biddo with me picking up YET ANOTHER package of nails... this pack required GLUE and took us no less than 1.5 hours....

a DREMEL....

POLISH....

and these were off by 9AM the next morning because "I can't do anything with them on! I couldn't even get my EARRINGS OUT!" Um... no kidding.
But it was a good choice for her because MY GIRL SCORED!!!! She took a PK AND SHE SCORED!!!
Minnie and I were at church so SOOOO THANKFUL for the Mom that caught it on video so that I could watch it after. ROCK STAR!!!

Finished off the weekend with board games, 2 ingredient pumpkin muffins, Minnie made lemon loaf and there was a boatload of football on the TV. I LOVE being home on Sunday afternoons!
A FANTASTIC FALL WEEKEND!

The Week Catch-Up

For YEARS I have told SIL L that I am NOT going to be the Mom that goes to everything... I am a FAIR WEATHER FAN... I don't dig cold or rain or being wet (or too hot but you see how that works out for me with summer track ha ha!) and yet HERE I AM.....Watching my #12 get SOAKING wet playing 3 hours of soccer....

I texted SIL L the picture below and she immediately responded with "YOU went to the GAME? LOL!" :) She knows me... hahaha

Soaked and FREEZING by this point...
As was everyone else....

But... like Mother in Law told me this morning... you'll do ANYTHING to wear the Patagonia :)

She's not wrong. Hahaha! Got to snuggle up this sweetie during the 8th grade game (and feed her all the snacks I had leftover...:)

Sean had taken these two from the game to their practice and when they got back... baby girls still wanting to be carried... hee hee hee...#greatdads
and of course this one wanted in on the action fresh from her long HOT shower to warm up....her legs are going to drag on the ground... :)
Tuesday was the LAST game... after the wet and soggy losses on Monday it was SO fun to watch a game where these gals and their teammates scored 13 goals... bonus to have my friend Kristen come to watch Minnie and two former students :)
SUCH a fun way to end the season!
Phew it was a busy start to the week... happy for a little bit of down time at least with JUST Miss B's soccer still going on before BASKETBALL takes over our lives :) Love it!

The Weekend Report

On Saturday Miss B and I hit the road to do a little shopping. I love 1x1 time with each of my gals... such great times spent in the car :) Chatting, singing, hanging....

after some hunting and gathering complete with an Oreo shake for my girl...we headed back to this crew.....

That was working on the burn pile... although it was more of a smudge pile because of the wet ground and the rain...

This guy was outside FREE all day and he had SO MUCH FUN! He does a great job of sticking with... I think he just loves his people so much....he did enjoy getting wet up to his belly though so Minnie and I had to wash him before he came in the house for the night...

Husband was also trapping the crawfish in the pond... he will give them to a local bait dealer he knows in exchange for some shiners this winter...

Good times with my guys outside....

Glad I was INSIDE for this...bleck!

and speaking of INSIDE... look at this guy... passed out in his crate WITH THE DOOR OPEN... that is ONE tired pup!

Sunday was another GORGEOUS soccer day!! Love sitting in the sun with my friends watching our gals :)

Bonus... Barks got to play with his new friend Winston...an 8 month old, 80lb Great Pyrenees/Standard Poodle Mix

They had a blast!

Poor Barks lost one of his puppy teeth and poor Winston was covered in blood around his jowls, ears and on the back of his head... whoopsie...

We stole Harp and Charley again and took them apple picking... the only pic I got... :)

Been a LONG time since she had her adorable mug in that pumpkin :)

Came home and the gals were outside the WHOLE TIME... They can never get enough soccer....
I did throw some mac 'n cheese at them before their parents came and they brought 5 month old Blaze to play... Koda had also come for a visit so to say Barks had his best life this weekend....

an understatement....

Wintson's Mom sent me this picture after I texted her the above one of Barks... we LOVE tired puppies!

and finishing out Sunday night with the view from our bedroom while I got ready for bed.... LOVE this time of year....
