The Weekend Report (Sunday)

Two WEEKEND posts because I mean... what ELSE do we have going on? :)

We did start the day with church at home and the gals picked out the music again....and then we pretty much spent the day in jammies and in the kitchen...

We LOVE to be in the kitchen.....

but pretty sure no one is going to want to eat at our table EVER.AGAIN. :) (She was trying to charge her glow in the dark silly putty to show the JJ and J crew :)

Family ZOOM party... Thanks JJ for getting the CountryRents set up....piano lessons are BACK! :)

I MEAN REALLY.... Do these even need captions??

Tried yet ANOTHER slime kit and the girls ended up making glittery water... ack.

even Discus knows that something is up....she NEVER gets on the couch... but different days for all of us I guess :)

The Weekend Report (Friday/Saturday)

Friday night ZOOM party!

and endless episodes of our favorite show <3 p="">

Husband has been at the BREAD MAKING.... These two loaves we packaged up and delivered. I stuck one in a friend's mailbox and left the other on a friend's porch...

Husband got a huge brush pile burned on Saturday and I was able to clean out my gardens and get some spring projects started... it was a full day of manual labor outside and felt so good...

When Minnie and I went out to make bread deliveries we went through the drive-thru of a local business. I supported them by buying Husband's FAVORITE meal and a pound of our FAVORITE coffee.

He was one HAPPY guy with the surprise! :)

The View From Here....

What it looks like to have four of us working from home.... at any given moment we can get called into Zoom meetings so we grab our devices and run for quiet spots in the house...

Good thing there is a resident MATH teacher... and he's SO HAPPY he teaches P.E. now :)

and then sometimes you just need some Vit D because the math is not making sense and you have to take a break and move onto something else... meanwhile Mama is cutting out screening tags in anticipation that we will at.some.point. be able to return to our various schools...

and on Thursday we just HAD TO GET SOME SUNSHINE... Daddy took us for a ride, we opened the sunroof, put music on Mommy's phone and all sang really loud through main street San-fid... it did ALL of us some mental-health-good.

*Insert Evil Laugh*

and they THOUGHT it couldn't be FOUND....

I should have made them recreate it on our Family Zoom Wednesday night... stay tuned... maybe they can be convinced? :) I mean what ELSE do we have going on right? :)

SURPRISE!!!!

On Wednesday we were SURPRISED by some visitors dropping off treats. The Mom had sent me a message just asking for our address and I sent one back saying "I hope you are bringing 1/2 and 1/2 and dry wine"... boy was I shocked when she showed up with this.... hee hee hee

Gals got two bags of mixed candy and sweet notes written on them.... Husband was a little disappointed that it didn't seem like any of it was for him....ha ha!

Just Miss B and I were home for the delivery (and we stayed on the deck). After they left she said "Mom... that's why I love Chloe... she's just so sweet and kind" and she started to choke up. I said "are you trying NOT to cry right now?" She said "yes..." Me too babe.... me too....

Sitting in a folding chair for hours on end when I am used to standing up all day at my stand-up station desk is tricky....Husband said he was taking a quick walk to the game camera and I followed out the door just as fast as I could throw my boots on....

And lookie what Daddy brought home for FREE from the side of the road... We have been talking about what he wants to put up for the girls for a while and this isn't his DREAM but my frugal man could NOT resist FREE :) SURPRISE!!!

Wordless Wednesday: What it looks like...

Home life...

This weekend we "Chalked" our neighbors driveways with messages like "E+H" and TLA (true love always) and "Thanks for being the BEST neighbors"....gals had a blast... they thought the thrill of the surprise was the best part and we were all OUTSIDE....WIN WIN WIN!

We ended our Saturday with a family corn hole tournament... Minnie and Momma vs. Miss B and Husband... you can imagine how that went... and how quickly Minnie wanted to ditch me and switch to Daddy's team! :)

He really IS THE BEST :) *SWOON*
On Sunday we had "church at home"... quotes because none of us are GREAT about churching without other people... but we assigned a new worship leader and pianist and they did ok... little rocker/rough with the outfit for my taste on the pianist but I got over my judgy self :)

We sang At Your Name by Phil Wickham and No Body Loves Me Like You by Chris Tomlin. Husband picked I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me.

And I hope you are all sitting down for the fact that my BIG GIRL let me just mess around with her hair while she was watching TV and we came out with this... I LOVE this girl's hair... any chance I get to play with it is a GIFT to this Mama! :)

Time

I let the blog go for a few different reasons... some maybe I'm not even aware of... but starting a full time job... losing SIL Bets... loss of life as I knew it (staying home for 8 years... thank you HUSBAND for that gift)
I'm not sure that I will keep up with it quite like I did "back then" but I have HEARD the few that have come to me personally lately about bringing back the blog... and what an encouragement you all were to me....and I got STUFF TO SAY... ;) So here goes....

We are all STUCK during this COVID-19... they don't want us to leave our homes, our families, our tiny spaces so that we are all "safe"...school from home.. work from home... leaving only for groceries and Rx's....

People... I have DONE this... I have hunkered... I have quarantined.... I have done it unpaid.... and here it is in a nutshell.... time.. is INVALUABLE. There is NOTHING that can replace time... there is no PRICE that can be put on TIME SPENT with family, with those you chose (or who chose you)... did I realize it then? Most DEFINITELY NOT.... but I do feel like I am in a minority who knows how to chill at home and ENJOY the people around me. Course that being said... I'M STILL GOING TO WORK! :) Hahahahahaha the irony.

It is SUPER scary... I have had to shift my thinking DAILY.... sometimes minute by minute to things that are true, pure, praiseworthy, lovely, noble, right (Phil 4:8) I am walking around with not 1 but TWO auto-immune diseases... last week I skipped my Enbrel shot which shuts DOWN my immune system so that I am not in so much pain but I HAD to take it this week to function... it makes me more susceptible to anything out there but my joints just could NOT take another week off... and I have to trust... trust that my limited interaction with people (work, immediate family) is enough... that washing my hands until they bleed and sending Husband to the store for necessities is being wise... "Zoom" pizza parties with friends so that our kids are still having "fun"....and we can still chat with our buds...

And since no one has shut down OUTSIDE yet... we are covering our neighbors tar driveways in the chalk we've had in the basement for years.... ;)

Maybe I'll be back tomorrow with a view from our church from home... stay tuned....;)
