The Weekend Report

 It's needed to happen for a while... Husband put the "baby chickens" in with the established flock on Friday night... I have heard HORROR stories of chickens killing other chickens and we listened to everyone and read all kinds of ideas on the best ways... so... he put them all together at bedtime on Friday night... on Saturday morning we were up bright and early to watch what happened when we let them all out together...

He started a campfire for Miss B and I and we enjoyed our hot beverages while keeping an eye on the lay-dees

For the most part they are all doing fine... Our Rhode Island is the bully by that I just mean she chases them about... but no pecking or trauma has been done... phew.

Def. a load of this girls mind as well as her Daddy... 

August Gardens

 Oh the difference a month can make...July Gardens...

Three hours and some blood, sweat and tears.....(kidding about the blood and tears)

Long Weekend (Friday)

What I SHOULD have taken pictures of is my BEFORE of my dirty house and then my AFTER of my super duper CLEAN house... because it only lasted for about 45 minutes. But it was nice to have the day at home getting it scrubbed and ready for our fun weekend! Husband was over the top to trap our school resource officer's pond and come out with some "MONSTERS!"

As soon as they dumped the bait into the new pond we headed over to Trem's for Husband and Trem to hang with the kiddos while we gals went to a wine tasting at Meag's Mom's around the corner... 

Gotta love a friend that will climb around on the floor at a party to plug in the crockpots! Hee hee hee

and I'm not sure why I even BOTHERED....When your friend has a charcuterie business.... 

I really had NO BUSINESS bringing "cheese and crackers"....

I mean SERIOUSLY.....

Meanwhile... back with the "Dads"....babies were getting rocked to sleep...

and real babies....

were having all KINDS OF FUN!

I love LONG weekends.... especially when mine start with Friday OFF!!!

 

My Commute

I LOVE coming home...I LOVE my drive to work but the view on the way home can't be beat right now...

I have been going the "back" way on my way home... it's not any longer and I get to see this friend....

So blessed.....

 

Randoms

Miss B with her "farm fresh butt nuggets" for sale on FB! :) she sold 3 dozen with this adorable face! :)

Cleaned up the garden... Husband used some of these and made his "world famous" green tomato mustard relish....

MC wanted to have her blood sugar checked.... post dinner this number sure makes my heart happy...it is also always a GREAT way to chat about her buddy Chase and a reminder of all that he has to go through everyday.....

this one wanted NOTHING to do with having her sugar checked but did haul out a molar! :) at what point do they STOP losing teeth? :) 

Miss B's work from school....I love Minnie's ponytail but I did have to text her teacher to ask "those are my SHOULDERS right??" :) I LOVE little people and the fact that Miss B's teacher was Minnie's KDG teacher makes it all the more fun! How much fun is the fact that her chicken is front and center and almost double the size of her 165lb dog? :)
