Summer Track

June 3, 2012
Once upon a time, there lived a little girl who dreamed of running track for her Daddy...
in June of 2017 her dream came true....

we started the Mustang Trailblazers for kids to get exposed to Track and Field...picture starting little league from scratch for people who had never heard of the game of baseball :)

it was this girl on the fence who was the one that started the program with her dream

this one dreams of the day that it is her turn....

2nd generation thrower for Husband with sweet Caroline :)

Track Moms! :)

CountryGRANDRents!!!

I'm just sayin'... click HERE if you want to see them a "few" years ago at a state track meet :)
Minnie loved all aspects of it...from practice, to meets, to doing the behind the scenes work with Husband of writing out ribbons and entering the kids into the computer each week for the meets

she improved week over week

she battled it out with this little one and in her 2nd to last meet beat her by a pony tail flip in the 200m. I wonder if we will have pictures of this battle on their respective high school tracks in a few years :)

some of her biggest fans....

Husband's track stars in 6-8 short years...

building a program...

So proud of this girl and so thankful for her dream and so ESPECIALLY thankful for Husband being willing to make it come true.

He sacrificed work and money and spent time instead building this girl up and starting a program. He had little time off from coaching and made about 35 kids really happy this summer...

...all starting with 1.

I HATE the beach...

but then I look at pictures with this view and think it is definitely worth it....

Miss B popped into my bed bright and early one morning last week and said... "the lady on TV said it was going to be 77 and sunny. Can we go to the beach?".... um....

*big gulp of coffee* "OK. BUT we are leaving ASAP and we are going to be home by rest"

"OK MOM!!!" :)

Jeepers I love these two. I must to go and sit in the dirt for 3 hours. :)
