It was the Tuesday that never ends.....

From baseball, to track, to LAX it was a day of sports for 50% of us! Husband chaperoned Miss B's field trip to Hadlock to watch the Sea Dogs, made it back for his track practice and we met up at Minnie's track MEET. The CountryRents, Aunt Nancy and MIL all came to support! So fun for Minnie!

See my girl there in lane 4! Love her! She threw the jav 85' 6" and the shot 26' 9" and came in 3rd in her heat in the 100m!!!!

Also love it when people show up matchy matchy! Miss B had her shirt that day too but had left it in the truck... so fun!

The classics.... Husband and Walker at a track meet. This is a picture that I have seen every year except one in the last 20 years.....Over 50 years of track coaching here in this pic. Likely a lot more because the guy in the red jacket and hat has been the boys coach at San-fid for a REALLY long time too....

Thankful for Meaghan who was also a chaperone snapping pics of my crew at the game!

Miss B had SO SO MUCH FUN! She is already making plans to go back when they do fireworks!

and finishing the night with ring pops, the twins (LAX gals) BIG WIN, Skylar and Titi was a GREAT end to the day!

 

The Weekend Report: #babyrednecks

The Pre-K class hatched baby chicks AGAIN... and we got to watch them for the weekend.... AGAIN!

Minnie and I had planned the surprise and we picked up Miss B and popped the back.... she was so cute thinking we had Maddie or Mayson in the back (I may have done that a time or two before) but this time it was 11 baby chicks!!!

Someone else was very excited about the new arrivals....

One of the chicks does have something going on with it so Husband and Miss B had to put hemorrhoid cream on it every 12 hours...good thing that sort of thing doesn't bother them... bleck!

1st steps on grass... 

On Sunday Husband was taking down some trees and it was HOT!! He came out of the woods and said a perfect day for a swim... and proceeded to get.in.the.pond. BLECK!!!!

and then these two baby rednecks thought it looked like a good time... clothes and all!

eeewwwww.....

I texted Aunt Nancy to show her what they were up to but assured her I need BLEACH AND CHLORINE! And preferably this view....

But they had SO much fun and I love that they did it... just when you think your kids are too old for mud puddles....

Bonus: She found my kayak oar that she and her buddy had lost back in the early spring

and ended with a ride on the swing.... ice cream with Titi, Uncle Leon, Sky, Nana, Grampa and the A-Crew (on their way home from LAX)! Awesome!

Ah Friday.... FINALLY....

This might have been the only moment of sitting this week....other than that part when I fell asleep on the couch.... whew it was crazy this week.... 

We had no RN at school all week so those duties fall on me and the principal, staff out with no subs available (aaahh) and my boss had to leave on Thursday at 11 for her own sick kiddo :( I was the last woman standing on Thursday....

We sported the blue yesterday.... one of Husband's friends/co-worker's husband was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The school all wore blue for "Jeremy" day and of course Miss B and I had to participate as well.... 

sometimes it feels like THIS was yesterday....

and sometimes if feels like a lifetime ago.... so very very thankful.....

 

So far.... and it's ONLY Wednesday!

 We tried to jam EVERYTHING in our week into ONE day apparently.... and Tuesday was that day....

Miss B has been struggling with some ENT things since Nov/Dec and we were finally able to get her into the specialist. I took a 1/2 day off and scooped her at school at 12 and we headed to the big city...

Dr. took a bunch of wax (eeww) out and she feels so much better... we'll have a follow-up in 6 months if we need it and he is also putting through a referral to a pediatric gastro doc for her acid reflux....

As SOON as her appointment was over we RAN through the parking lot (yes Mimi I know!!! but we watched for cars and went quick quick) so that we could get to this girl's track meet 45 min away. I knew we would miss most of it and in fact showed up just in time to see her cross the finish line (2nd in her heat for the 100m. ) Ah well.... Momma's can't be in two places at once so I was SO SO HAPPY that she had a fan club there!!! Her buddy from school came all the way with her little sister and Mama just to watch Minnie. So sweet! 

And Titi came with her favorite girls!! Sky and Mimi!!! :) 

Minnie pushed the shot 26' 9.5"

and threw the jav 85' 1". Both throws PR's for her. She was SO SO HAPPY!!! Still waiting for official results but thinking she took 1st, 1st and 2nd in the 100m (EDITED WITH THE OFFICIAL: 6TH IN THE 100M, 1ST AND 1ST IN THROWS) and they won their relay. A GREAT day on the track and field!

SO SO thankful!!!

Meanwhile... where is Husband in all this?? Working his OWN track meet of course... why NOT have it on the same day of the week.... finally sat down to dinner around 7 which in the grand scheme of a track meet was SUPER EARLY! :) Phew.... gonna be a long rest of the week....

The Weekend Report

Friday kicked off with FUN because Sky picked up the gals after school! Miss B didn't have after-school care so she said she's snag her but of course once Minnie caught wind.....so she asked to get picked up at Husband's practice. 

 

When I came down the dirt road this is what met me.... Sky on my bike (WITH A BROKEN RIB AND SHATTERED THUMB) and my gals with their helmets on (well done!) on the wheeler.... I love me some baby rednecks.... ALL THREE of them!

I won a gift card during staff/teacher appreciation week to Applebee's :) We tried to get the gals to sing the song and Husband told them he would give them an Oreo shake as long as they used two straws :) 

it didn't fly... they didn't sing and they had dessert at home :) 

Saturday the weather called for 80's.... now mind you I was wearing a WINTER JACKET just 4 days prior.... (Minnie's track meet near the coast was CHILLY!)

I think we ended up at 90 degrees and this Maine girl just can't handle that kind of heat....Husband suggested we get the boat out for it's seasonal maiden voyage and I was not grouchy about that...

I was JUST getting ready to send Husband's ice fishing buddies this picture and tell them that I think our gals prefer the hard water to the open water.....

and all of a sudden....

THIS HAPPENED! It was the only fish of the day but 1 fish is better than NO fish...

Gals continued the fun outside after we got home with the water gun game....

and I clearly did not put enough sunscreen on.... I also had to change my sensor when I got home... thankfully it was pretty much tan by the morning but dag nab it I don't dig a sunburn....

On Sunday....the gals and I volunteered to do nursery for one of the Johnson girls who has three little boys and is PG with her 4th baby! She's here staying with her parents because poor thing has a broken foot :(

We got home after church... Husband and I went to the grocery store and then back to get some things done outside between the raindrops. Thank GOODNESS the temps were cooler although the humidity was still fairly fierce.... 

Miss B and I got all the zinnia's planted and Husband and I tag-teamed the lawn....

So happy to have so much time outside... but please do not come over and see how badly my bathrooms need to be cleaned and the floors need to be vacuumed. Ah well... always after work..... :) Unless we are back outside! :)
