Soaking up all the time with Sky before she headed back to school (and helped Husband and I out SO much with not only KID care but puppy duty!)

They tie dyed and made a cake! (No pics but it was YUMMY!)

And just had the BEST last week of summer!!! So thankful for all the time we were able to spend as a family!

Sparkle Spice

In the Spring Skylar put another piercing in her ear. That was it. Miss B wanted one too. It was almost 4 years to the day that she was in the exact same spot with the exact same two people making her dreams come true and providing the support only Daddy can do...

I tell you what... this kid is 100% braver than I... one and done for me... I couldn't even watch it happen... I had to turn around... she was SO SO courageous. Definitely had the eye water going on the first one but she took a deep breath, squeezed Daddy's hand a little tighter and went for it...

She's such a ROCKSTAR! and see her pretty necklace...that was her birthday gift from Husband and I. We upgraded her chain to as she puts it... "golden" and I LOVE that she says that... 

She was SO PROUD of herself...she LOVES her new earrings and is psyched to be "just like Sky" :)

Miss B's Birthday Party

On Sunday we celebrated Miss B at her annual pool party... just CLICK HERE for a moment... 😭 How did this happen SO fast!?!? Before we left for vacation I ordered an edible photo to be placed on our cake. With the craziness of vacation, coming home for one day, headed back north for the State Track Meet I KNEW I would not have time to make her cake this year. Hip hip HOORAY for MIL!! She jumped right in and made the birthday girl's dreams come true... mine too! :) 

It was a small crew this year and I was disappointed by that but she had a blast....and I think these guys did too! :)

She invited "Skylar from the barn" and they had a blast!

Sky's present was the first one she opened and it was the BEST....

A photo blanket with her favorite animals.... sooooo awesome!

She LOVED it!

She has wanted a candle like this forEVER... I bought this one last year and then we TOTALLY forgot it last year but when I was looking for food coloring for MIL I found it again!!! Hysterical! She loved it!

Home after a BUSY summer never mind the last week and they jumped RIGHT into her presents and she popped on her new tank top made by Mimi! So THANKFUL for L&L opening their home and pool every.single.year. for 10 years so this girl can be in her element and we can enjoy the pool.....I think she had a GREAT time! :)

 

 

Wordless Wednesday: Thank You

 

State Track Meet

Out of the house and on the road by 6:10AM

Snagged Becky and headed NORTH!

Gals competed in jav, shot, and disc for Minnie

I was just happy to be able to hang with this guy all day... at the State meet coaches are not allowed in certain places which meant he was with ME :)

3rd in the State in the 13/14 age division for this 12 year old!!! Poor kid was in 2nd until the girl behind her threw her last throw.... dag nab it. 

Miss B finished 7th in jav...

and we FINALLY had a BEAUTIFUL day... not TOO hot, not TOO humid and clouds...

Minnie finished 10th in shot

and so did Miss B! :)

Not "quite" how they had hoped to perform and where they were seeded but a good day all around

especially for this guy...

So proud of these kiddos that qualified... we finished 4th out of 31 teams

and as usual the Mouse House closed the track... last ones to leave... :) 

Thankful for the season but it was ESPECIALLY long this summer and I am SO HAPPY we are moving on to soccer where we get to just be spectators and show up with our camp chairs.
