29 Weeks ~ Miss B

How far along: 29 Weeks 1 Day
Net weight gain/loss: Up 30.6lbs according to Doc
Maternity clothes: Uh... yah
Stretch marks: Yes
Belly button: OUT
Sleep: Not as great... up at LEAST 4 times to pee and the snoring from weight gain has kicked in...poor Husband.
Baby movement: Yes and I LOVE it! I can start feeling limbs :)
Food cravings: No real CRAVING but I do have a hankering for seafood ~ haven't fulfilled that yet..
Food aversions: Mexican and fries in my oven
What I miss: being comfortable :) sleeping through the night (I know I know that will be a long time coming back :)
Looking forward to: Husband being able to come to the next appt!

At my appt today Miss B was weighing in at 3lbs 4oz and she is in the 62%. She scored a perfect 8 out 8 on things they check and her heart rate was 140. My BP was 98/60 and really, don't think we need to revisit the weight gain again. Bleck. Blood sugars over the weekened were absolute CHAOS for me. I made a BUNCH of changes and have yet to hear from Loretta (found out today she's been out of the office sick) to see if she wants me to do anything else with my pump. Thankfully I have had more managable sugars the past few days and the OB RN today said they were not BAD considering what they see in that office. For me... they were "bad". Hoping to make more tweeks and I know there are many more to come over the next 9ish weeks.

2 and 1/2 YEARS...

Minnie, sweet girl, you are 2 1/2 years old and Daddy and I canNOT believe it. You keep us on our toes DAILY and make us giggle almost every minute.

Some of our favorite sayings from you are:
"I don't know idea"
"I SO EXCITED!!!"
"That's true Dad" or... "That's true Uncle Scott"
"Wanna play somethin' else" ~ even if we haven't played ANYTHING yet
When asking me who I'm calling on the phone you respond with "wanna talk", "again??!?!?!"  or my favorite "I LOVE Gwynne" :)
What goes on pancakes and waffles? "SUrrrLUP"
"Watcha doin'?"
"Well, that's a SURPRISE!"
"You betcha!"
"Daddy's home YEAH! Daddy's home YEAH!!!"

In the past few weeks you have had some MAJOR growth ~ physically, emotionally and spiritually. You are wearing 4T shirts and mostly 3T pants but you do have some 4T pants that fit just fine. I think you'll be OK in 3T shorts for the summer but your long skinny legs sure are gonna stick out of the bottom :) You wear a size 8 shoe but are QUICKLY headed into a size 9. You are testing your limits a little more each day and checking to see if the same rules still apply and if we are serious about the consequences. You have also come to a REAL love for church and for saying grace at meal time. Daddy has taught you what the "big kids" say and you have it all memorized. "God is Great. God is Good. Thank you Jesus for our food. Amen." Very sweet. You like to remind me that God is EVERYWHERE.

You are in LOVE with the TV and would literally watch it all day everyday if I letcha. Perfect. Come September... I just might. :) Your favorites are still Cat in the Hat, Super Why and VeggieTales. You LOVE Larry the "Cu-bum-ber" and Bob the tomato. Good thing so does Mom. You are also REALLY sensitive to any sort of show where something bad/sad/scary/upsetting happens and will cry real sad tears. You happened to see the part of the Lion King where the Dad is trampled and you LOST IT crying and saying  "He want HIS DADDY!!!" Not changing the channel was NOT one of Mommy's finest moments.

Being OUTSIDE is your favorite place to be. Of course the park is still your version of heaven on earth but you'll take pretty much any place that has a swing. Add in a location with animals of ANY sort and you are thrilled. You canNOT wait for TiTi and Uncle L to get their pool open and for the warm weather to enable you to get IN it. You talk about it ALL.THE.TIME. Lately, with all the rain you and Daddy have been able to dig around in the garden and gather up worms. You love worms so much that Miss Karen at the library let you take a book out about them and we learned all KINDS of neat things about them. Just get anyone to ask you what worm poop is called. You'll tell them. :)
Also in the past few weeks you are POTTY TRAINED! Not without our times of "accidents" but for the most part, all day everyday you are doing AWESOME. You are sometimes tough to get to "take a potty break" because you'd rather be busy and when I find out you've had a little accident you always assure me "I STOPPED Mom! I stopped!" (the point is not to START though Minnie :) You still wear a pull-up at naptime because let's be honest... MOM needs the break and if you wake up because you peed you'll be up for the rest of the day :) and you are in a size 6 overnight dipe for the nighttime. We've been talking about the fact that Doe-Doe is going to give you his BIG bed and you will be able to sleep in that in your room VERY SOON! Exciting stuff!

Nothing makes you happier than being with Daddy or I and going on "an adventure". You wake up in the morning asking "where we go today Mom?" Meeting new friends, a trip to Wal*Mart or the JJNissan store, visits from Nana and Grampa or just walking down the road to see the "big girls" is your idea of a good time. You are my social butterfly that is FOR SURE.

Bear is still your best friend and we haven't looked back since ditching the last purple bink. As long as you have him you seem to think you can conquer the world :) He is your go-to guy when you need a little snuggle, you are sad or just wanna chill out.

Sleep has been a struggle lately. You would rather chat and have a party in your bed than close your eyes and sleep. One morning you woke up early and Daddy went into "party central". He asked you who you were partying with and you said "God." Daddy responded good... and you said "God and Jesus are in heaven." Perfect. Now if only we can convince you that He doesn't mind if you sleep past 6AM.
You've been a HUGE help to me sweet girl when I ask you to pick something up :) or by carrying your own backpack or getting your cup and bowl out of the drawer to get ready for meal or snack time. You are doing MUCH better at eating though dinner time can sometimes still be a bit rough. You are now eating chicken, steak, hot dogs, burger and pork. Veggies are hit or miss if they are cooked but you love cucumbers, carrots and ANY kind of tomato. Cooked or raw. Cheese is still your favorite food group and smoothies are your favorite breakfast :) You also still love it when Daddy tells you he's going to make popcorn and you ask "in the chine" aka... the "ma-chine"...aka the hot air popper.

You are more and more loving with my ever growing belly and love to give "Baby Sister" hugs, rubs and pats. You talk to her all the time and tell me about the fun things you are going to do together and share with her :) I do SO hope you are BFFs :)
**
I can't believe by the next time I do another update for you (Age 3) you will be a BIG sister and I'll have already blogged about your baby sister for 3 months! :) You are SO much fun to watch grow and I can't WAIT to see how you adapt to all these life changes. Daddy and I have been telling you since day ONE of the hospital "you're gonna just have to roll with it baby..." and here comes some more :)

We love you!

Fancy Miss Lana!!!

It doesn't get MUCH fancier than a "Fancy Nancy" party for a certain girl who turned THREE! :) OH I remember waiting for news that her Mama was out of labor and then we waited and waited for her NAME! :) Can.not.believe it has been THREE YEARS!!! My girl was psyched to wear her sparkly, fancy attire and she WORKED IT :)

checking out the swing set...
 Three of the fanciest! :)

Love all the cheesy smiles :)

Momma S knows how to throw a party that is for sure :) I asked Minnie what her fav. part was... "the frosting" :) and considering she dipped her "veggie straws" IN the frosting I'd say that's probably true :)
Happy B-day sweet girl! :) Hope YOU enjoyed your party as much as the rest of us! :)

What's been goin' on...

This is our "busy" season... Daddy is gone all day on Saturdays... practice everyday after school, Doc appts in the "Big City" for Miss B and I once a week, birthday parties, end of school activities, Mother's Day, Father's Day... we try to do it ALL. YIKES. And in the meantime... still have a little fun. Like trying on $50 size 10 TODDLER Danskos... that WERE.ON.SALE. :)
soooo cute!!!
And Mama getting spoiled by H.B. getting a pedicure with my redheads... Also spoiled to have Aunnie Bets watching Minnie so I COULD do this fun time!!!
YOU try taking a picture of your feet along with your PG BFF and not getting the bellies :) BAH!
From the pedi, Minnie and I went to Daddy's track meet where she WORE.HERSELF.OUT. Nothing like a sweaty, sunscreen, dirty, hot sleeping toddler :)
Oh yes, and it's also plant the garden time. Good thing someone sent him the memo. I think I saw his Mom or Dad this same day CLOSER to the garden. Seems like it also might be time for the cows to get out too right?

Gotta love spring.

27ish Weeks ~ Miss B

How far along: 27 Weeks 2 Days
Net weight gain/loss: Up 28lbs according to Doc
Maternity clothes: Uh... yah
Stretch marks: new tiny one on TOP of my belly button....WHAT?

Belly button: OUT
Sleep: Big fan...

Baby movement: Yes and I LOVE it! I can start feeling limbs :)
Food cravings: sweets and salad
Food aversions: Mexican and fries in my oven
What I miss: being comfortable :)
Looking forward to: Actually highlight of the week was yesterday ~ Diabetic RN appt, U/S and OB RN appt. that I took CountryMum and MIL to along with Minnie. Fun GIRLS day :)

I was pleasantly surprised with my A1C of 6.0. After the past few weeks of messing around with my pump settings and daily emails to Loretta I was SURE we'd be looking at a 6.2 or 6.4... still always the goal to be 5.8 for me but I was actually OK with 6 :) For the next two nights I have to do a basal check to make sure my overnight settings are OK so at ONE of the points in the middle night I'm up to pee I have to just check my sugar... My BP was 98/62 (Thanks CountryMum :)

U/S was great ~ Miss B is weighing in at 2lbs 7oz and is in the 60%. Her heart rate was 148. The tech kept trying to "wake her up"... I told Husband after.. I think she WAS awake she's just totally chill :) Wondering how that will pan out after she gets here.

The getting treated like a "regular" PG girl appts of only going ONCE A MONTH was fun... but it is over. We are now up to WEEKLY appts and in a few weeks they will turn into twice a week... I should probably ask for gas cards for my birthday :)

This week I also touched base with my L&D RN from Minnie and she passed along her cell and email to "keep in touch" as we get closer to August :) How I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if she was there with me for this baby girl too!!!

Speaking of baby girl :)

The View From Here

It's like spring and winter all mixed together...

It hasn't stopped raining in DAYS... actually... I think WEEKS except for a couple of bright spots here and there....

So thankful Daddy brought this up from the basement to play with and TRY to get some of the wiggles out... my girl likes to be active and this "stuck inside" STINKS.

MY actual view "from here"

Minnie's view when I let her take her own picture...
We could use some sunshine and OUTSIDE time...

Sweet Friends...

That give Minnie her 2nd haircut at ON their dining room table
That share snacks, song time and praising Jesus during Sunday AM worship....

and that give special toe polish with no chemicals or "bad" things for these precious teenie tiny toes...
feeling blessed....

Remiss ~ Husband's Romantic Bone

I have been meaning to grab my camera and bring it upstairs for WEEKS now... We (OK, I) joke about Husband's "romantic bone" and how it is basically just the TIP of his pinky finger... flowers, sweet words of compliments and stuffed teddy bears are just NOT my guy :) and that's OK... Because when he DOES use that romantic bone... it BLOWS.ME.AWAY.

In an effort to ENCOURAGE words of affirmation (which I LOVE) for Valentine's Day I made up (thank you pinterest) this frame with a printed piece of paper on it and a dry erease marker... that way he could just put something on there once in a while :) Guess who was using it more? :) Hee hee hee... and THAT'S OK...

Because the night after our Gender Reveal Party we came upstairs and when I walked past the frame I noticed it had been changed...

and I was BLOWN AWAY :) I love this guy more than I could EVER have imagined 10 1/2 years ago. My friend/hairdresser's husband said it best... "if ANYONE can handle a houseful of WOMEN it is "Husband"" :) and in the words of Minnie... "that's true"

:)

25 Weeks (Plus a few days)

How far along: 25 Weeks 2 days
Net weight gain/loss: up 27 according to L&L's scale
Maternity clothes: Uh... yah
Stretch marks: still nothing new thank goodness
Belly button: OUT
Sleep: LOVE it. Last Saturday night I slept SOOO good ~ it was amazing how much better I felt on Sunday just having a GREAT night's sleep
Baby movement: Yes and I LOVE it! Though I do have to say this girl is not NEARLY as active as I remember Minnie. I know this time is totally different because I don't sit at a desk all day but this girl seems a little more relaxed than Minnie at this stage of the game :)
Food cravings: Cocoa Pebbles. All it took was one bowl with milk and a crazy blood sugar after and I think it cured that craving. Even NOT PG I can't eat cereal and milk ~ can't manage my blood sugars so it just isn't worth it
Food aversions: Mexican and fries in my oven
What I miss: being comfortable :)
Looking forward to: another quiet week of no Doc appts before we get to see Miss B again on the U/S :)

I have struggled this week with my blood sugars. Loretta and I have been emailing back and forth tweaking and making adjustments to my pump. I've had, for ME, too many highs and she doesn't want too many lows so trying to find another balance for this part of the PGCY has been the goal the past few days.

Not at ALL great pics but I feel TERRIBLE about how few belly shots I have this time around so I had to grab SOMETHING this AM
