That's a Wrap

The 2026 soccer season is OVER! Hip hip!!! While I am not wishing time away... trust me... watching senior night and knowing that was going to be us next year... NOT OK... but... there were some tricky parts and we're moving on...

This feels like FOREVER ago....
August 2026

Fun to show up twinning! I saw Bode at school and sent Husband a message to change his shirt so they would be matchy!

Miss B played great! Really tough game to watch but she did great!

And soooo fun to have the Johnson fan club for her!

If we could all be as COOL as Phillip!

Love this crew!

Senior night went off with just a minor hitch *insert eye roll* of no Hudl but gals played hard...

Cheverus is always rough and when you can recruit and pull from anywhere... WHY are we PLAYING YOU?

One final "fun" night for the Varsity on Friday, a banquet to be scheduled and we are moving onto bball....

The Weekend Report

and apparently mostly just pictures of Minnie??

On Friday the weather was TERRIBLE... but these two diehards were off to the football game. Husband working in concessions to get volunteer hours for his gals and Minnie with her friends for camo night....

Miss B and I were completely content to snuggle on the couch eating chicken nugs and watching our show! They HATE this sweatshirt Husband has on....

I LOVE when she sends me pics of her in the "Wild" hahahahaha

On Saturday Miss B was up and outta the house to ref most of the day... she had a little break when she came home and then Minnie dropped her back off for her afternoon games before she caught a bus from the high school to GILLETTE STADIUM for a New England Revs game! Yikes this was a lot of time in Boston for the MouseHouse this week!

Girl loves her some Patriots (and soccer) so a win/win!

Along with a night with her friends!

She was a happy girl!

Girls Varsity 2026

Boys and Girls Varsity 2026

Because they were one of the first 50 teams to register they were able to go down at the end of the game for a crossbar challenge. I saw the post when I woke up in the morning... I had no idea she was SUPPOSED to HIT the crossbar.... but she did.... the team went wild and she came home with a prize of a couple of FIFA wireless chargers??

It was a VERY fun night for this pretty girl! She rolled in (thanks to Mad-Money who isn't still restricted with her license) around 2AM!

Meanwhile at the the MouseHouse... I was PANICKING about the projected frost.

I did this whole rigamaroll on Sunday night too...

But sadly I think it's over....

Randoms

To say that this school year has "not been my favorite" is a HUGE understatement.... losing BOTH my work bestie RN and my beloved Principal/friend has been a REALLY hard adjustment... coming to grips with my "new normal" when I used to LOVE MY JOB SO MUCH... tricky...

On Wednesday I left the new RN and new Principal in charge of the office...

Sitting next to Husband while he was in a hospital bed waiting for surgery I got an email prepping me....for THIS....

AWESOME. I had JUST redone the rolls (BY MYSELF.. typically a job I did with Marisa) and I am a control freak about the laminator... well... PK decided to take it on and jammed the thing all up... guess who had to fix that on Thursday?

Speaking of Thursday....

This girl needed a ride home from practice and I thought she looked so cute reppin' her Flaherty racing shirt so we took a pic to send to "Mush-elle"

The LAST of the dahlias LAST week... we had frost over the weekend and they are all gone....

Heart wrenching...

but already thinking about NEXT season!

Back to the REALLY "Big City"

At least for the CountryMouse and Husband!

Please note the time the coffee arrived on the nightstand... please also note, my phone is telling me I should still be sleeping!

"We've" been doing this a LONG time... Husband did like his past Dr who retired but the one who took over was NOT a good fit....so if you remember we went to Boston for the top dog of New England back in June...he listened and allowed Husband some time but it finally got to the point that he was done waiting, Husband was uncomfortable enough and they had to get removed....

Wednesday was the big day.... of course Minnie's soccer game would get moved to Wednesday night because why NOT?

We left the house around 5:20AM and when I put our destination in my phone it immediately said "there more traffic than USUAL today..." great.... love starting a road trip stressed....

Sure enough GPS was right and our arrival time of 7:30 went right out the window... to say that I was freaking out might be a "slight" understatement... I HATE BEING LATE...

I texted this picture to Minnie because she does love her some Boston Blue...looked like a scene from the show....beautiful skyline beautiful flag and all!

I also snapped this picture for the girls in hopes that it was Season 2 of Crew Girl but after googling it I don't think it was... maybe a scene for Boston Blue??

Thank GOODNESS no one was grouchy that we were 40 min later than they hoped and Husband got checked right in.... procedure started around 10....

I was happy in an empty waiting room but I assure you this is NOT how it ended up... in fact when the Dr called me and I stepped out into the hallway to go over everything....

I lost my seat... so I walked and stood for the next hour... until I got a text from Husband that said "let's get outta here" so I went looking for him :) When I got into the PACU the boy at the desk said "did they call you, he's only been in here for 40 min and usually it's 2 hours?"
I said no.... but my Husband wants to leave sooooo can you check with someone???

And at about 2:15 I was experiencing my first VALET service... almost 50... never done valet... had no idea HOW to do valet but thankfully they brought me my car....

I maneuvered all of this and MORE traffic on the way home...

as evidenced by the stress of my blood sugar....

so that we could get home to watch this girl do her thing!

A WIN to end the night and FINALLY my bed by 9:30!!!!

Husband is doing well, really happy with the procedure and we shall see about next steps....
