The Weekend Report

While Husband was off doing this....

Minnie was living her best life at TiTi's before practice on Friday and Miss B and I were hanging with Barks and waiting to pick up Minnie.... 

Saturday morning I dropped Minnie off at practice at 7:30AM and Miss B and I ran some fun errands at the mall and met up with Minnie and the MHS Indoor Track team.... 

BONUS... we got to cheer for our FAVORITE TA athlete! Pics courtesy of Tamarah... so proud of her girl on the podium!!!

and Husband catchin' fish! The guys all made it back to watch the Super Bowl... 

bummer on the loss... and on NOT taking any pics but fun to have the R Clan including Josie and MIL there for all the YUMMY FOOD Sky brought! :)

Update: Husband

I mentioned back HERE that Husband was going to be ADMITTED to the "big building" last weekend. He has had a pesky infection on his right side incision that has just refused to heal properly. He has been on 2 rounds of antibiotics and is currently on his 3rd....today marks 12 week mark and he's headed BACK into surgery this afternoon. 

The GOOD news is that he is FEELING well....

the bad news is yet ANOTHER surgery... this one at the same place he had his hips done so at least it is small, quiet, and easy parking. (warning graphic picture below). This was BEFORE it split open :(

Fun fact... his principal's husband is ALSO having BOTH of his hips replaced right before Husband is taken care of... eee boy. 

2/10/26 UPDATE:

He did GREAT! All cleaned out, stitched up and home by 7:30!

 

Catching Up

I took my buddy from school so his sister didn't have to swing by and we went to a UNIFIED GAME! 

I LOVE Unified basketball and I love FI! Her partner was having trouble with her shoe and mid-game sweet Fiona just bent over and helped her get it back on. I texted her Momma that night and said "honored to know her..." she is really just the BEST!

LOVED seeing the interactions and support for these kiddos!

Just the BEST hour spent!

On Tuesday, Minnie went to Noble for their Senior game.

Their community had just had a DEVASTATING loss the week before and all I kept thinking about was how it impacted these kiddos...

It was a tricky game in the beginning but they came out with the W and Minnie made some AMAZING steals and shots!

On Thursday, Husband left for his annual ice fishing trip and our girls had THEIR Senior night... 

It was a close game... 

 but ended up losing... STILL MADE PLAYOFFS THOUGH....

*MAYBE* one of the only sort of smiles I've seen in 3 months...

Miss B

Her season is OFFICIALLY over.... and sadly ended with a loss...

but we could NOT be MORE proud of how hard she worked and the recognition she got this season!

We love watching our girl!!

Women In Sports

Never would I imagine having to FIGHT for...

but grateful to Minnie for bringing it to my attention....

I love my ladies and they SHOULD BE PROTECTED from competing against BOYS. PERIOD.

The Weekend Report (Backwards)

 Nursery for Miss B and I.... so easy when all we have is this little guy and his sweet older sister!

Such a content little man!

Husband was SUPPOSED to get admitted to the "Big Building" on Friday night for a surgery on Saturday (more on this later) but at the last minute it was all canceled and after dropping off the gals to go to a USM Women's bball game, we headed for a DATE DAY!!! He had some errands to run for his derby and I got lunch outta the deal!

End of the game shenanigans... love these two... 

 

Minnie had a good game and fun to have a W at home!

Another night of bball...

Five days between two games and we matched up with San-fid AGAIN ACK!!! BUT...this time... we at least SHOWED UP.... gals played SO much better...

and fun to see our #2 matched up with HTED's #15 again :)

We were ACTUALLY WINNING at one point!

and speaking of winning... Miss B competed in the foul shooting contest at 1/2 time and WON! WHOOP WHOOP! I think it was the rebounder she picked! :)

Speaking of love. SO FUN to have fans! Steve and Sheri came as well, including Do-Do, SIL L, Sky, MIL, and the CountryRents. Yay!

When we got home... snapped this proud moment... Miss B had her end of the season banquet during practice (and before the end of her season)

Winning the Coach's Award AGAIN... Her coach spoke so highly of Miss B about how she's a leader, and the most COACHABLE kid she's ever had... awww so proud!

Even though we lost to San-fid... it felt like a win at the Mouse House last night with how hard Minnie worked and Miss B's accomplishments! Whoop Whoop!
