The LONG Weekend Report

 They are my favorite... an extra day... a shorter week... just my favorite! We crammed a LOT into those 4 days!

Kicked off Saturday AM with a sick kiddo but she dug deep. Tamarah told her to find her "beast mode" for the game and Minnie and I both laughed when I sniped this pic of her from across the gym! :) love it!

It was SUCH a good game!!! We were down by 9... 

But we came back and ACTUALLY HELD ONTO IT!

My girl was on fire in the 4th quarter and made some CLUTCH foul shots and jump shots!

The "zoo crew" went CRAZY!

IT WAS sooooo fun! Winning is FUN! :)

After the game Husband and Miss B headed to set some traps and do a little night fishing....

Bonus that Sky came!!!! She says she's done with ice fishing because it is SOOOO COLD.... SO please note she is bundled and sitting right next to the stove! :)

They were jigging for "crappie" and unfortunately unsuccessful in the shack but Miss B caught THIS ONE on a trap! WOW-ZAHS!

FUN!

Minnie opted to head to Abbey's 6:00PM!!!! track meet... to hang with her peeps! :) She rode up with Chelsey and had the BEST time cheering on her buds WITH her tiny people!

Monday the gals had dentist appts at 9:00 (much to their chagrin) and we had gotten dumped on with a few inches of snow and it was still coming down... Husband offered to take them because I was supposed to have an appt with Loretta at 12:30 but by 8:40 they had left and she canceled. A WHOLE DAY STAYING HOME IN A SNOWSTORM!?!? YES PLEASE!!!

I texted Tamarah that I got to stay home in my snow-globe... just too bad it was so DIRTY! ACK! But... that meant, laundry, cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, vac, homemade bread made, quiche for breakfasts for the week, meatloaf put together (not baked but in the fridge for dinner Tuesday), potato/sweet potato mash made, also for Tuesday night, bacon for the fridge and a soak in the tub!!! It was a VERY productive day! 

The only picture of the day... BLT on homemade bread Minnie took because they had to watch the boys game at 3:00 and stay right through until 7:30 because they practiced after... and she ONLY ATE 1/2!! (Good thing for Serenity :)

A fun and FULL four days! 

The Big City

We headed to the big city for a match up with the #1 team in our division... ack. BUT... the fun part was that these two gals were nominated for Varsity Athlete of the week which is a HUGE deal considering it is all winter sports athletes... and OUR GIRL was nominated against the girl who just scored her 1000th point. Yikes! :)

It was a ROUGH night but the highlight was for sure the steal at the end of the game... You can see the video HERE....:)

Miss B Back at the Bball

Phew it seemed like a long time since we had seen Miss B play... we had a rematch against Kbunk and this time we CAME OUT ON TOP! Hooray!

Just when you think she's like "come on MOM"....

She does a dance move to make us both laugh! :) Love her!

She worked hard and I am SO proud of her... 

This week there was an optional practice with the 7th graders... she checked with some friends who said they were planning on it and she opted to go....she was the ONLY 8th grader and was pretty bummed about it.....BUT spent 30 minutes working on post moves so it was DEF TIME well spent! Having a ball in your hand working on the game is always a good choice. 

Dropped Off

I didn't mean to drop off....whoopsie.... We had a "snow day" on Wednesday which meant Miss B's game was canceled... BUMMER... BUT Minnie played an hour away AT 7:00 on Tuesday night (almost my bedtime!!) so it was nice to REST after a late night!

Minnie also played on Thursday but alas no pics....it did not go well.

We ended the week with a Saturday game... that also did not go well... but proud of these girls for doing what they could while they were out there. 

After the game Minnie left with Abbey. I always LOVE getting pics of my girls when they are off on adventures! Night tubing for the WIN! :)

and dessert at 10:00... why NOT!? :)

Christmas Break (Part 3)

Might have to click to enlarge the picture... but you know you are in redneck area when you are following a guy who just picked up his BEAR from the taxidermist. :)

This was FUN to do again... and this year I didn't miss a DAY... 

Enjoyed MIL and 3 outta the 5 Renauds for NYE... and of course a couple of these guys...

They really are SO good together and love each other so much!

I love that Guinny had this memory pop up and that he sent it over to me...

and these two... who refer to themselves as the FET (fish extraction team) ended up catching not ONLY this rainbow but ALSO THIS HUGE STICK out of the holes they drilled trying to free the fish!

Goodness gracious! :)

Meanwhile cozy at home... :)

Miss B and I watched movies, painted our nails and hung out in our cozy house!

When Husband and Minnie came in Miss B had made her sister a steaming cup of cocoa and a warm pumpkin muffin. So sweet!

On Saturday after practice we all dropped Minnie off at the field house again so she could support her track peeps and Husband, Miss B and I ran around in the "big city"

Sunday ended va-ca with a bang... Abbey came over after church (and her history class work was done ;) and hung out until Corrine's bday party! WILD for a Sunday night before going back to school!!!

Love that they decided to be matchy matchy!

SUPER fun that Corrine's little sister did it TOO! :) and it wasn't even planned! So fun!
