APRIL VACATION (PART 2)

 We had a few things on the to-do list that were assigned for April vacation. I REALLY wanted to get our bedroom done but Husband was NOT on board and truthfully once we add track practice into our morning we really run out (pun TOTALLY intended) of a lot of day so it will be better suited to tackle after school gets out....but this trim has needed to be scraped and repainted so we jumped on that.... 

                            

One of the windows is vinyl and one is not so there was a very tiny paint brush run by the tiny-est human in our house. I was very thankful for Miss B's help but didn't snag any pics of the work...

I also haven't taken an AFTER pic but I will... :) one more coat and it should be good. Hoping to tackle that this weekend... maybe Friday afternoon....

This guy saw me scraping when he got home and hauled out the big guns to zap the rest of it off for me... SO thankful....

After lunch on Wednesday the Penney kids came for a visit... and of course his favorite went to check on the birds with him.....

On Friday night we headed over to the Penney house for some meat grilled on their new Troeger! WE were super EXCITED!!! I love that my boss is my friend... especially when she pops on fantastic glasses! hahahaha

Gals of COURSE brought their bathing suits for the hot tub....

and then coerced the adults into a sleepover.... 

We zipped over to pick them up before lunch and Maddie wanted to bring Husband on a quick ride... that took a little more like 20 minutes!

We ended the week with Husband putting together HIS new grill... HOORAY for hot meat over an open fire again!!!!

He christened it with chicken sausage and green peppers and onions. DELICIOUS. A fantastic way to end the beautiful vacation!

APRIL VACATION WEEK (Part 1)

On Monday we "stole" C-Line after track practice... it was a beautiful day and these three were outside ALL DAY! I loved it!

They went round and round and had a great time....

We ended the day with ice cream.... 

and a visit from Daws... with his new to him summer fun

He's so excited and it was so fun to hang with him and hear all about it. He hung out chatting in the kitchen for a while and it was so fun to spend 1x1 time with him for a while...

On Tuesday the carpet got cleaned... (no pics I feel like that might have been weird, haha) and we headed back to SNHU for some shopping and Sky's LAX game....

It's always more fun to WIN :) 

We have now been to SNHU several times and have YET to come home the same way we went... it's turning into a family joke.... but so well worth the travel to see and squeeze this girl....

EASTER!!!

DANG bunny showed up with LAX stuff?? :) 

and SO excited to try these floats in Aunt Nancy and "Bob's" pool this summer... 

My beauty queens... we went rounds on Easter outfits as Minnie primarily wears leggings and sweatshirts but we found this jumpsuit and she LOVED it... felt like a t-shirt, dressy enough in my book for Easter and you'll see it again come Caleb's graduation! Win!!!

And then of course if you missed it.... don't. Miss B KILLED her solo in a packed house and I was SO SO SO proud of the beautiful job she did!

The Weekend Report-ish

Not pictured here is the yard work accomplished.... gardens raked out, lawn fertilized, asparagus bed cleaned up and fed.... the inside food prep of soup for me for the week... chicken pot pie for Husband, hard boiled eggs and brownies made by MC....

What is pictured is obviously the FUN stuff... cuz that's why you're "all" here! 

Friday I texted Tamarah my Friday afternoon with the ladies....

Little did they know it was their last day of FREEDOM....

Miss B had a sweet Ally over again but this time for a "sleep"over. This girl is so super easy... EXCEPT for the fact that she eats NOTHING. Literally. But.... we found she will throw down some convenience store pizza and candy so that's fine. :) 

Minnie left around 10:45, hitching a ride with, BIL L, Daws, Mama and SIL L down to Sky's game.

They CRUSHED the other team in the cold SOAKING RAIN!

and clearly SIL L relies on the other three people in her family for their photography skills. Hee Hee Hee!

 

After we brought Ally home I ran and snagged a quick pedi before Miss B had a follow up appointment with Miss Dayna. On Wednesday we gals got our hair cut... This is before and sadly I haven't snagged an "after" yet

But when Husband was leaving with the gals Miss B was SUPER disappointed that she WANTED a trim but felt like it didn't look any different... I get it... CountryMouse hair hasn't changed in 35+ years... but... I texted Miss Dayna and lookie what she did on Saturday...

and Miss B LOVES her "new" hair!!! Dayna did them so perfectly I think they will just blend when she is in the sunshine all summer and gets her annual au natural highlights

On Sunday after church Husband and BIL L were playing in a corn hole tournament at the high school. Minnie wanted to tag along and Miss B wanted to head on home... fine.by.me. :) 

We walked a mile and hung out in the kitchen for most of the afternoon.... such a great weekend getting some things done, doing some family stuff, having some 1x1 time and feeling rested and accomplished all at the same time.
