We headed 1.5 hours NORTH on Saturday AM at 6:15 for the gals to compete in the State Track Meet at Cony. Sleepy and excited all at the same time!
We got there... set up... bathroom break and it was hit the ground running... pun totally intended. Miss B and Minnie doing BOTH their favorite events at the EXACT.SAME.TIME. Miss B had shot and almost as far away as you could get Minnie had javelin.
I literally RAN back and forth trying to see everything.... I missed one throw each out of their four...
but Miss B and I BOTH made it back for Minnie's WINNING THROW....SHE KILLED IT! She had an 8 FOOT PR! Husband was standing next to me and said "that was a great throw.... that was a GREATTTTT THROWWW!!!" I thought it looked like the other two I had seen but that's why they pay him the big coaching bucks ;)
Because they did live results she ended up hearing from someone walking behind she and a friend "so and so came in 3rd... and Siena Carbone WON" she turned around and said I did!?!?!? It was a girl she had done private coaching with and she said "oh hi! yeah! you WON!" SO FUN!
I had seen the live results on my phone and *might* have cried....but I didn't know if SHE knew so Rebecca and I called over to the tent area and I asked her to come see me at Miss B's jav...as soon as she got close to me I KNEW she KNEW... I muckled onto her!! So so SO PROUD!
It was a beautiful day for a track meet and to watch the gals compete...
The season is LOONNNGGGG but the gals love it and it is so fun to be with our Trailblazer fam.
And... to finish out the day... Husband was called to "the red tent". Not a place you want to be called as a coach... BUT this time... he was handed a stack of patches... his Mustang Trailblazer Girls WON.THE.ENTIRE. MEET. SO SO proud.... of him as a coach building this program, the girls team and how they performed, and so excited for what he has coming up to his Varsity team. It definitely makes him EXCITED!
Meanwhile... while we were enjoying the competition this guy was living his very best life at Doggie Disneyland... That's his new BFF Rip....
He met his dad... and they actually got along well... this was the initial meet and greet...
If this isn't the sign of a happy puppy I don't know what is...
We were so thankful to Brya for agreeing to keep him for the day and he had a WONDERFUL TIME! Exhausted but WONDERFUL!
