 I picked everything viable in my yard on Sunday afternoon... 

After all the work we did back HERE, this is the LAST bouquet of the season... 

not too bad for October 26th...even a rogue daisy! :)

The Weekend Report

It was a FULL weekend for my people...

We kicked off Friday afternoon with Miss B's LAST EVER MIDDLE SCHOOL soccer game! 

 

She played great and they came out with a 2 1 win over NOBLE! HOORAY!

Saturday Husband was able to get some projects done at home, changed my brakes (PRAISE!!) and worked on splitting wood....

I was working on putting the den back together, UBERING Minnie back and forth to reffing soccer games down the hill, bringing Miss B to meet up with Reese and then finally snagging Abbey after her race so we could head to the park and see the festival put on by Corrine and her church! SO FUN!

 

The track girls BACK TOGETHER!!! A fun and SPONTANEOUS AFTERNOON!

Meanwhile... Miss B was helping Reese get ready for her first horse show...to say that Miss B was in her happy place.....

is def. an understatement!

She had an absolute BLAST!

and I LOVE the smile on her face SO MUCH!

I texted these pics to Brya because I know how much she loves Miss B and she knows how much Miss B loves horses! Soooo cute!

On Sunday everyone was up like it was a school day... Husband left around 6:40AM for a last minute, all expenses and FOOD paid for trip to the PATRIOTS! 

Minnie TYPICALLY does not ref on Sundays but with playoffs and the end of the season they were short on refs... I knew that Miss B and I had nursery at our church but I wanted Minnie to get "fed" so I gave the gals the options for Sunday morning... they both chose going to Mercy's 7:30 service... we hit Low's for the doorknob and Hannaford for the week of groceries... got home for a hot second... Miss B installed the doorknob and Minnie got ready for reffing. Miss B and I went to our church to do nursery, headed to Biddo after for some errands and got home around 1:30. I headed back out around 2 to pick up Minnie and then we were FINALLY all home. Miss B and I worked on digging up the dahlias...

 

 and Husband rolled in around 8:30ish...after his BEST.DAY.EVER. 

WHEW it was a whirlwind of a weekend but thankful for VEHICLES to make their dreams come true, sweet friends and outdoor time for all! 

Den UPgrade (In Progress)

 We have been talking for a few years now about updating the den/playroom. We went rounds about putting a TV in there and then one weekend JJ just did it while we were away :) (and we gals LOVE it) 

When our painter came to do the downstairs bath I told him the next project was going to be the den across the hall. Unfortunately we were low-people on the totem pole but it's FINALLY our turn. I told Husband I wanted it done before his surgery since MY plan is to move our bed down for at least a week-10 days.

It's been a LONG TIME since the Den to Playroom Transformation and a while later we got the cushy new carpet

LOTTA life has been lived in this little room....

We replaced the carpet back HERE

and had lots of sleepovers....

So back to this picture

Abbey and I went to SHERWIN WILLIAMS on Saturday morning and she had NEVER been there before... this is a girl who travels ALL.THE.TIME. loves live music and goes to concerts at LEAST 1-2 times a month... but had NEVER been to get paint. :)

I ordered new curtains that Husband will be able to pull if he wants to rest a bit with the sun coming in... and we went with the "Drift of Mist" which sounds more greenish/blueish than it actually is. 

Husband removed the chair rail, on Saturday I hauled everything out of the room, threw away some trash *ahem* and got it READY for our painter...

Husband drew a line around the "My Prince HAS come ~ His name is DADDY" because he was going to trim it out for me so it stays....

Oh the stinkin' puff! This "gift" from Sky takes up some SERIOUS real estate

The painter showed up around 8AM on Tuesday morning....and PAINTED OVER "My Prince HAS come his name is DADDY" AND the girls FREAKED! So did Husband and I....broken hearted for sure... I will have to have a sign made because we all loved it so much...

But here's where we are at with obviously a few details that will need to be finished up but I couldn't wait to post the pics.... my curtain is DELAYED from Amazon *insert eye roll*

This corner used to be FILLED with cords and wires but Husband and I brainstormed (after ordering something from Amazon that didn't work for what we had) and we cleaned it right up!

I am in search of a three drawer basket style to get rid of the pink/purple plastic system that has worked so well for us for SO LONG! Minnie and I moved the puff ALL BY OURSELVES... MAN ALIVE is this thing heavy and AWKWARD! Also, please note, we need updated cushions on the window seat and new EURO pillows... 

I mean OBVI had to put the disco ball and sunglasses back...it's still gonna be the gals hang out space :)

On Sunday I asked Miss B if she might be able to tackle putting the new door knob on... she jumped RIGHT into the challenge and voila!!! New doorknob!!! Well DONE MISS B!!!

and these two pics are just for JJ... I asked if there was a way to connect two coax cables, he told me yes, I went to ACE, found the piece and Husband got everything connected....moved the shelf and cut a whole for everything to go through...

Hooray!!!!! everything is tucked out of the way (not NEARLY as organized as JJ would like), but nothing will get hit and I wish we had thought of this YEARS ago when there were a millions kids playing dodge ball in the den! Ha!

still a bit of a work in progress, REALLY sad about our quote being painted over but HAPPY for a fresh coat of paint on EVERYTHING and having an updated space for the gals (and Husband and I).

The Weekend Report

Twinning with my work bestie to start the Fri-YAY off right! AND....IT WAS A "QUIET" DAY IN THE OFFICE.... best day of the year thus far....

It was Senior night, so the last home game of the season.... the photographer posted this in their app and I had to snag it... My favorite smile of Minnie's with HER favorite coach...

Lib and Jenn came to watch... we had to snag an updated "size reference"?? "height pic"?? 

because it's been a little while.... :)

Came home from the game with a couple of extra gals for an overnight and threw a fun charcuterie together for them and called it "dinner"

Minnie forgot her backpack at MIL's house and had homework to turn in before midnight so she called to see if she could tech support Mimi through turning it in on her laptop... then Mimi was just part of the party for a minute :) 

This is a "sneak peek" of more to come in a few days but let's just say... while Minnie was reffing I took this girl to a store she has NEVER been into before in her life! :)

 

These three got ready for lunch and shopping...

We headed down to pick up Minnie and then off to Biddo for lunch and shopping... 'bout 3:30 and I was DONE!!! BUT... worked on a little "project" (again, more later) and no photographic evidence but the DECK STAIR RAILINGS ARE DONE!!! HIP HIP FOR BIL L AND HUSBAND!!!! YAY!!!
