The Quarantine (ish) Weekend Report

 Gals were feeling better by Friday, albeit not eating much, but I wasn't worried about them being contagious anymore so Miss B went to her buddies bday party.... Glow Sew Party! They made Christmas PJ pants and had the best time eating pancakes and drinking hot chocolate....

Husband worked concessions for the JV bball game and I came in game day gear after dropping off Miss B.... love being matchy matchy! :)

Because Minnie missed two days of school/practice she couldn't play (truth be told she wasn't ready to either)... but Coach allowed her to sit on the bench with her team since she was feeling better...

She even stole her father's popcorn at the end of the game... :)

We snapped a quick selfie in the town square when we stopped to grab Miss B.... I love these gals of mine....

On Saturday AM Minnie had a fundraiser for bball... a "lock-up"....complete with cops and everything!

I posted her mugshot on FB and girl raised $15 over what she needed to....her father and I tried to pay them to KEEP her... ;) kidding Minnie... KIDDING.... 

When Husband and I got home from picking her up I rolled Miss B off the couch and forced her to meander with me down the driveway and enjoy the brisk air and sunshine....

Right before she lost her footing and ended up head over tea kettle and in the snow! :) 

When we got back this was the face I was met with.... she was none too impressed with the Science work she had missed....I texted Do-Do and said she LOOKS like your sister but this 'tude about things that are black and white was VERY much HIM... When you know the TRUTH....

you know....

We finished Saturday night by renting The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Husband driving all over town to get their hearts desires for take-out since they hadn't eaten.....

On Sunday we worshiped on the couch with our Pentecostal friends ;) at Free Chapel and Husband and I ran out to do some Christmas errands...a MUCH lower key weekend than we had anticipated but a FANTASTIC Family Time in our cozy home.... 

Sickies

 Minnie said earlier this week... Mom you haven't blogged... um... nope... cuz really who needs pictures of this...

On Monday sweet Miss B woke up at 4:30 and came in to tell us she had been sick. Poor thing was down for the count every 20-30 minutes until about 8:30ish... I put her down for a nap in her clean sheet bed at 11:15 and she didn't wake up until I poked my head in at 1:30 to let her know I was leaving to pick up Minnie. 

My house smells of lysol and bleach... my hands are raw from washing and cleaning and I even stuck the loveseat OUTSIDE when I sprayed it for her entire nap

We thought we were in the clear until Thursday when Minnie woke up and came into our room and said "I don't feel good...." white as a sheet.... and it was ROUND TWO...

Her version lasted longer and was a little more aggressive I would say... but PROPS and kudos to my girls for not giving us ANYTHING to "clean up"!!!  

I texted Husband on his way home from Miss B's bball game and said this is the SECOND time this week I have made PERFECT pieces of cinnamon sugar toast that have looked like this and been thrown in the trash. Hahaha!

By bedtime she was at least keeping down a little bite of banana and ice chips... while she watched "film" (live Sanford vs. York girls bball) 

NOT a fun way to spend a WEEK and praying a full hedge of protection around Husband and I as we head into the QUIET weekend.....

The Weekend Report

Our version of Friday Night Lights! :) Minnie's VERY FIRST OFFICIAL VARSITY BBALL GAME!

My girl got some playing time... and made some good choices while she was out there!!

Did not turn out like we wanted... yikes... but first game AWAY jitters are over...

Saturday Minnie had to volunteer at a Skills and Drills clinic for grades K-8 and Miss B got to attend! I asked if anyone wanted to head to the tree lighting in town and this is what I got..... ;)

So at home FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT it was!!

HOORAY!

Miss B and I have been STRUGGLING with this garland around the window.... but Husband got us a new Command hook and we put it back up....

It is COZY... and so fun to have lights on timers that just pop on every afternoon at 4:00 :)

Wordless Wednesday: WE BACK!

 

Thanksgiving Break

I had promised Miss B that on Friday we would decorate for Christmas. The girl has been asking since HALLOWEEN! I did put up festive shower curtains but that was IT... Until after Minnie's birthday/Thanksgiving!!!

These two headed out bright and early to now what is my FAVORITE tree tradition (Click HERE for past years)... they go pick one out and bring it home! :) I love it!

So cute!

They picked a BEAUTIFUL tree... I love supporting local and that it's all set up!!! 

Minnie had practice and then we drove them up to go to the movies with, as Minnie put it, my five best friends aged 6 and under. (Not pictured was C and C who didn't last the whole time)

This guy and I got to run around and pound out a couple of Christmas errands and even left enough time to grab some apps at a local restaurant before heading back to pick them up.... 

We made it home just before CJ showed up and we all piled in the living room for our FAVORITE....

MOVIE!!! :)

Saturday after practice the sickies that had been plaguing this girl finally got the best of her... I ran her over to the Walk-In and sure enough... as is her fashion... sickies during/near her birthday... always.... bronchitis for the win this time... so glad I took her... 

Same baby... same bear... similar couch....

Non-stop fun, family, and Varsity bball will do that too yah... but 3 doses of a Z-Pack and she was SOOOO much better!!!

Miss B and I served in nursery and then the gals headed to L&L's for the 2nd annual eat all the sugar and frosting you can :) I stayed HOME :)

The gals and I finished off the tree and we all had a little case of the Sunday Night Blues... but three more weeks and then the holiday break! HOORAY!
