Vacation WEEK! (and a gazillion pictures)

Daddy was home (ish) and we enojoyed every.single.second! :)

We went to Track practice 3 out of 5 days....

and enjoyed our new backyard!!!! Do you see it? A "hand-me-down" from the neighbors and we are loving every single minute!

Speaking of backyard...

First campfire of the season and I see MANY more of these this summer... fun for ALL of us...

not to mention a 1/2 bag of marshmallows :)

and then a swing break...

On Tuesday the gals and I went to our local fire department for a "field trip"....

It was really interesting and helpful I think for Minnie to see that they ARE there to HELP us since sirens are really scary for her right now...

Miss B on the other hand was a huge fan :) (they didn't turn on the sirens but she loved the event overall)

Firewoman "Anna" said "I've put HUNDREDS of kids up in this fire truck and I don't think I've EVER seen a smile as big as hers..." (referring to Miss B)

Wednesday after practice, baseball game and naps the "W" crew came over to hang out...who can resist this one?

I hope I have YEARS AND YEARS of pictures of these gals enjoying pizza and movies together... they won't let a little thing like school districts keep them apart :)

On Thursday, the gals had been invited to, as Minnie said... "my VERY FIRST TEA PARTY!!" C-line mailed an invite to my gals and even asked that they wear dresses... Easter please :)

Is this not the SWEETEST thing you have ever seen???

Once Miss Lydia woke up and settled in she was right in the action too :)

Friday brought us back to practice, Husband and Minnie took Mr. Scott fishing and then it was an impromptu party at Mick and "Yiz"'s house... our alternate plans for the group "fell through" and they were gracious enough to open their home at the last minute to us all...

Fun for EVERYONE!

Grilled meats, community salads, fruits, veggies...

and carcinogens. How can you go wrong? :)

 

A little case of Sunday night blues at the Mouse House but the gals and I will push through tomorrow... whip this place back into tip top shape and be ready for "routine" the rest of the week :) We sure do love when Daddy is home though and can't WAIT for summer vacation!!
