Track Meets!

70 and SUNNY are my FAVORITE track meet days! I have put a LOT of time in in sweltering heat and in cold and rain so I was VERY grateful for a BEAUTIFUL day to watch Miss B do her things!!

The girl that beat her is a Trailblazer teammate and her dad is one of our summer coaches.... he was there cheering for BOTH teams and coaching BOTH girls. So fun! Hooray for Miss B's PR and NEW MMS SCHOOL RECORD!

I made it to the meet before she started anything and caught up with MIL... I arrived at 3:55...

and these gals raced over from their practice to cheer her on! So fun to have fans!!!!

Miss B was DONE all of her events by 4:55....worlds SHORTEST track meet again! Husband met me there so we left together and the gals stayed until the end.

They raced into the house to grab sandwiches and slap some fresh deodorant on so they could head to West Buxton church to watch their fav tiny people in a play!!! Miss B with the props at the end cracks me up!

Little actors! I LOVE it!

On Wednesday it was YUCKY weather... Husband had heard all week that if the meet was moved it would be to Friday....Wednesday arrived and they moved it to THURSDAY... The same night as my Family Night at MY school where I had 3 teenage volunteers helping.... ack! Miss B and Paisyn agreed to ride the late bus up to my school after their practice so they could still help out (and not leave my Title 1 teacher in the LURCH). They were well taken care of, fed and amazing volunteers!

This enabled MIL to meet at my house... we grabbed Barks and made it to Biddo to see the last 2 disc throws....

and then head over to jav!

It was a little breezy and she didn't do what she can but still a SOLID performance!

Love my BEAST!

At shot we ALL (Minnie, Husband and I) thought we recognized the guy in the grey shirt.....

After she competed she asked me he was "just chuck it" a nickname fondly given to her VERY FIRST throws coach when she competed for Saco Bay Striders at 6 years old...Husband and I connected with him and sure enough... it SURE WAS! Full circle moment for all of us for SURE!

Husband does love taking ALL the points :)

One of my FAVORITE parts of the meet was the 4x100m... I saw Jordyn, a girl that SHOULD have been a MHS girl and actually did Trailblazers for a few years get lined up with Minnie on the 300 corner.... oh dear. They play bball against each other and have known each other for about 8 years... Minnie came into it behind but you can see went by the Kennebunk girl and was chasing down Jordyn... they passed off their batons, slowed down and Minnie gave her a high five... Jordyn came in for a hug. I wish I would have captured it!!! Minnie and I laughed and said that would NEVER have happened on a bball court but I just LOVE me some track culture....

Hated losing to Mia and Jordyn.... but....

At the end of the day..... these were the only points that mattered! WHOOP WHOOP!!!
