An Escape from Reality

The reality of losing a parent, losing a grandparent, and now a couple of rounds with colon cancer.

 

 L&L were supposed to be in NJ this past weekend and had surprised Husband and I with Red Sox tickets L had gotten from work. We thought long and hard about who would love this game just as much as us, who could use a "break" and who we'd have so much fun with! :) Enter....DC and ~Laurie!!! :)

 

Best part of the trip... (no, not the ride HOME DC) but the part where they drove and Husband and I got to just sit in the back and turn our minds off! SUCH a huge blessing to be able to relax that way!!

Thank you L&L for your amazing generosity, for DC and ~Laurie for organizing childcare so you COULD go AND for driving, for Sweet "Yiz" taking care of Minnie and for the tag team effort of SIL L and MIL to care for Miss B. What a TREAT it was to escape from "life" and enjoy a day of friends, sunshine, and baseball.
