Bea Part 2

Because of travel plans and extended family coming in from out of town we agreed to keep Bea through the holidays after her paperwork had been signed by her new family. We got 10 extra days with her and soaked it up! 

She loved the snow SO MUCH!!!

and these two...

Having a dog definitely gets me outside more rain or shine... light or dark...

So her forever family came to pick her up on Wednesday, December 29th and by Thursday morning they had lost her! She broke free off her leash and took off. We were headed in the complete opposite direction but our hearts and minds were TERRIFIED.... By that evening there had been several sightings of her in their neighborhood but she still hadn't been found. We organized our search party, planned to take Koda with us because they were such good and fast friends, the Renaud clan was headed up before 7AM and we had snacks, leashes and collars packed to leave by 8AM to head an hour north.... at 5:41AM I got a text from the owner that she came home... they had left her bed and food out and when the husband opened the door she came right to him. She was snoring in her lap when she texted me.... oh what a RELIEF!!! We were ALL so terrified! So so happy she is OK!

Gals are pushing for their own dog now... they do like fostering but I think this one was especially hard on all of us because her personality was just so sweet. She just wanted to be loved and love you right back... 

 

Christmas

Curtis Lake, KFC and National Lampoon's for the WIN on Christmas Eve. I love our little family's tradition!

That DANG Elf used my credit card to get a trip to the lights...

and this little lady helped herself to the sugar cookie.... and TRIED to eat the PB fudge but Husband caught her in the act... not that you can blame a dog and PB :) 

I always FAIL at taking Christmas morning pics... Gals had super cute matching jammies on but you'll have to take my word for it....

They looked super cute when they got dressed for the day too in new USATF gear and "just a girl crazy about horses" t-shirt :)

Christmas number THREE of the day....

We had a great couple of days with family and each other! 

Holiday Break!!!!

No School on Wednesday meant an EXTENDED holiday break for the MOUSE HOUSE! I did not mind waking up to this view at 6:45!

nor did I mind snagging my coffee and getting back in my bed to finish this movie... who can name it!?!?

Miss B and I had so much fun giggling at this picture... I thought you would all enjoy a trip down memory lane as well...rough night?? hee hee hee

Sky came over to my school and organized ALL the giving tree stuff... I know she appears stressed but she wasn't ;) at least I hope not... she did SUCH a good job sorting, piling, divvying and organizing... the families that get these piles will be SO happy and Betsy was THRILLED that it was something off her VERY OVERWHELMING and falling off the side, plate.  

Speaking of Sky... her creative handiwork again at another birthday party!

Looks like he was partied out but he loves her... it's me he's not so sure about...

As long as you are touching her all is right in her world... she won't sit for the pets... she'll stand for HOURS but touch her... and she's happy.

I just emailed the foster director... this is the first dog I'm a little worried about Discus with... she has warmed up to her... will look for Bea and even sit this close to her....

I'm cute!!!! Hahahaha it was fitting this was right when they were near to each other...

Wednesday is the day she goes with her forever family...we are all going to miss her for sure... she was one of a kind and those are our favorite kinds....

JJ and I were texting on Saturday night... I thought I was going to have to change my site before bed but.......

Nothing like getting every.single.drop. of that IN$ULIN!

Oh the sunrise... I hate the cold and the early mornings but this can't be beat...

Little mix-up with a leash, a big dog and the fact that the big dog wanted to play with Koda....poor Minnie...she hit the tar at Heather's bounced and skidded.... I honestly thought we were going to be in it with another broken arm.... but thankfully she caught herself with her elbow and this nasty scrape....

So we snuggled....ish. Cuz neither of us do... but we got cozy....

and you can see the pile of babies in my bed watching classic holiday movies.... MAKES ME SO HAPPY

and speaking of happy....Husband wouldn't MOVE because Discus was doing HER version of "snuggling".... see her bum on his shoulder... it was hysterical... he asked me to get the remote control for him so he didn't have to bend over and run the risk of moving her.... oh this cat....
