So much for quiet....

UPDATE: REBOUND IS HAVING SURGERY AT HIS OWN VET AND I'LL BE ABLE TO PICK HIM UP TONIGHT ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK. :(

We hear it is messy messy when they are home....eeeekkkk

It all started innocently enough...Husband asked...."you want to go for a walk" when I came through the door....sure... 50ish degrees out and we think its summer.... came home to hang out and sat down to dinner a little before 7PM... finished up dinner and Husband reached down to pat Rebound who had snuggled his way over to the table (as usual) as soon as we had put down our forks... When Husband ran his hand over Reebsie's ear he let out a little cry and Husband realized it was all swollen!!!
:( We immediately called the vet who of course is not OPEN at 7:45 at night and they tell us to head to the Animal ER to have it drained right away and that he should def. be seen TONIGHT.... off we go to the city (Tracy stop laughing at that comment) only to find out that this is "very normal", it probably just happened
tonight so you are safe to wait until you can get in to see your vet tomorrow... let's give him a lampshade so he doesn't scratch at it...that will be $130.00 please. WHAT!?!?!?! SERIOUSLY? We were TOLD he had to come right in and have it drained... now we find out, you can ACTUALLY let it heal on its own, though then he has the potential to look like Evander Holyfield's cauliflower ears (sorry if I totally butchered the spelling of his name ~ and if he doesn't actually HAVE cauliflower ears...) so surgery would help them not get all wrinkley with scar tissue....Sad....poor Rebound.... Home at 10ish... still had to put together the lasagna for dinner tonight and pick up the mess that we left when we literally RAN out of the house.... The WORST part of this whole thing (besides the $130?!) Husband called Sky and Daws to have them pray and the poor girl LOST it... she canNOT handle anything happening to her best friend... poor thing. Don't worry baby... neither can we... neither can we.....

Off to call OUR vet.... :(

that warmer/spring/summer weather MIGHT.... don't hold your breath people... but MIGHT hit Northern New England.... No one told my hydrangea but... maybe she'll get the hint once the other 4 feet of snow FINALLY melts away.... it WILL melt away RIGHT?

And in other news... I have just been invited to go ROLLER SKATING....what? Ok, 1st of all... I'm 30! SHOULD I be putting these two feet in 8 wheels and try to spin myself in circles? uh... probably not... BUT... will I??? :) who knows.... it is tempting... and I haven't been in my roller blades (yah, so NOT doing the skate thing... I'm THIRTY!!!) in over 7 years... I think L & Sky need to come on this journey with me.... :) :) I'll drag yah all down... :) Don't worry... if we DO go... pictures will abound.... watch out GA! :) WATCH OUT!

Weekend Re-cap

Oh yah... and Tracy... your birthday post... was my 100th post. Def. some significance to that don't you think? at LEAST comment worthy.... :)

Someone PULLED OUT TWO teeth this week... I'll give you a clue... it wasn't me... :) I say PULLED OUT because MIL says they were NO WHERE NEAR ready!!! oh this girl......Puh-leeezeeee... who do you THINK made her this shirt? :) come on now... :) and then when her Mummy said she had to go and change out of her play clothes because we had errands to run and I said, "can I help you pick something out..." as IF I'M NOT PICKING THIS SHIRT! :)

Honestly.... some days it feels like FOREVER ago... and some days it feels like yesterday... not to sound too cliche.... I'm glad we have come out on the other side and not that we didn't have a good time but I think we are both PSYCHED with what the Lord has done with our lives thus far... :) God Bless HUSBANDS :)

So many things...

GROUCH: It's RAINING SLUSH. This makes me GROUCHY.

SAD: JJ is sick and their family missed the b-day party last night. Again.

FRUSTRATING: We lost power (for FOUR MINUTES) on Wednesday and the PC shut off... now when I plug in my camera to pull the pics off, nothing happens. Pretty sure I'm going to need to uninstall the software and reinstall. Who has time for that at 6:45AM? Thus... no pics of the FANTASTIC cake that Husband and I made.

ANGRY: Did I mention its practically SNOWING out?

HAPPY: My Dad READS MY BLOG! Fairly regularly? At least that's what it sounded like last night? LOVE that. :) HUSBAND doesn't even barely EVER read my blog :) I like that my Dad is (HI DAD!!!!)

Shhh.....it's quiet....

nothing TOO exciting going on and it's been OH SO NICE... quiet nights at home, movies, dinner together, simple... in all the chaos these are the nights that make me look forward to coming home... to just being with Husband...

Dinner at da 'rents on Thursday night so I expect to have a post worthy post then... and if not, at least pics of CJ :)

In the meantime... I love my boys...and I love summer... and I love Rangeley....
