spending more and more time at home but we did zoot to the "big city" to catch Caleb in a game...and what a GREAT game it was! This team has great heart and such a hard-working attitude! Fun to watch! ("little" number 5)

Semi-Wordless Wednesday

Is anyone else gonna get back on the bandwagon JUST for the guy on the right?

 

Truth be told... I've been so OVER AI and I only jumped on when Steven Tyler was a judge but bring me some Harry Connick, Jr. I'M IN!!! I'M SO IN!!!! :) Can't WAIT for tonight!

As if the SPONTANEOUS visit, PRETTY gerber daisies and tulips were not enough sunshine in my dreary, sicky, sunny, stuck at home with sick kiddos DAY...

 

 I hog-tied her to the couch and the movie Tangled and RAN out the door with Husband!!!

Ok, maybe I didn't HOG-TIE her... she did so willingly...

but I did RUN...

and said to Husband about 4 times... "I'M SO HAPPY... I'M JUST SO HAPPY! I'm out of the house with JUST YOU and I'm SO HAPPY!!!"

OF COURSE we went to our favorite store! :) I had a list!

but man we made the most of it!

 

and were so refreshed to come home to the little ladies!

THANK YOU COUNTRYMUM. YOU HAVE NO IDEA... or maybe you do :) how much it meant to ME  US!!

 

Sick Babies

While there is something to be said for being CONTENT at home... there is also something to be said about feeling TRAPPED

going potty with a baby attached to me...

and working HARD to get smiles that are forced...

My poor gals are BOTH sick... just (praise JESUS) NASTY colds but they are complete with fevers, snotty noses and lottsa laying around... and while there really is NOTHING like a baby sleeping on you... I think we are ALL over it after 5 days of being left at home with minimal outside interaction...

Praying away the sickies from each of you and looking forward to THIS....

Minnie-ism

On the way home from advocating for Husband's paycheck...What WE hear from the back seat

Minnie: "Mom, that lady with the gold on her face had a baby in her belly"

Me to Husband: "What did she say?"

Husband: "gold on her face"... he translates "freckles Minnie?"

Minnie: "yeah"

Me: "awww... Minnie that's a nice way to put it"

Fast forward a couple of hours...

Minnie: "Mom, tell the Bible Study girls that I have red painted nails with stickers on them"

Me: "Ok...but I'm going to tell Aunnie Becker that you called freckles "gold". She is going to think that's really special..."

Minnie: "I DIDN'T SAY GOLD MOM. I SAID "MOLES""
