GiGi is getting ready to have another baby... we thought it would be fun to get together before the she comes and then we I thought it would be funny to try and recreate this picture with Nora ;) they were such good sports....

These girls. One of them is married and having her 2nd baby and the other one is getting married this spring... we are pouring over Pinterest boards and they are updating us on their lives.

What can happen in a playroom in 0,2 seconds or less...

what happens when you are in a houseful of girls and hunting and fishing shows are not on TV ;)

 We are so blessed to have maintained this love and relationship with these girls. It truly is a testimony to Husband's character and the fact that he can be someone who pushes and drives them to be better athletes and students and years later he is a friend, confidant and....torturer of their children ;)

 

Poor gal... she'll get there... she'll have to... she lives "in district" :)

1st School-Friend Birthday

Wasn't she just my baby? Now so big I can drop her off at a friend's house for that friend's birthday party where she comes home after going to the movies and getting pink hair???

 

 Ok, maybe she's not THAT old but it is definitely what happened ;) good thing the Mom is our hairdresser and the pink hair... well... that was our gift ;)

 

Ah Northern New England....

Only here can you go from mud season...

while Daddy's away....

Husband left for his annual ice fishing weekend last weekend... of course we had some prep to do before he took off... and part of that was making venison jerky... good thing he had his sues chef!

as he was packing up I ran out and said "uh... you forgot your bucket of bait!!" He assured me he didn't need it and that he had left "Miss B" in charge... ok... that sentence is all kinds of wrong but we went with it... until the next morning... when she realized that more than 1/2 the bait was dead and my tender-hearted lover of all things fins, feathers or fur was picking out dead fish...

but pick them she did...

and then Mama got her some fresh water and she managed to save.... 1. ONE.SHINER.

So in true girl fashion we took off to find something to make us feel better... PEDICURES it was! :) Guess who's is who's. (that seems like all kinds of grammatically incorrect craziness there) :)

I fear I have created mini-monsters because they both LOVED the pedicures and asked when we could go again... pretty sure Husband has another trip scheduled in June doesn't he?? ;)

We did NOT love the outcome... and it is as always tough doing this stuff without Bets... but we pushed through with food and drink and family and fun....

Couple Randoms... T1D and BBall

This picture makes me happy and sad all at the same time...

for the past few years I have attended this conference... remember this "Geeky Date"?? CountryDad has gone with me every year except that year as my "date" and this year... JJ came too... I love these two guys so much but I HATE that this was something that JJ is having to deal with :(

It was MORE than overwhelming when Diabetes Dad shared with the parents in the room how to just DO.SOMETHING. support your kid but don't do everything FOR them... but just to do SOMETHING... and then he ended his presentation with this video... it was clipped differently to cater to the parents in the room but the gist is the same... BE there for your kid and JJ and I have THOSE parents... the ones that are THERE for their "kids" no matter if we are *ahem* 40... or a little younger ;)

then there is THIS picture which cracks me UP every.time... what *ahem* 40 year old HAS THEIR PICTURE TAKEN WITH 16 YEAR OLD MISS TEEN MAINE? PUH-leeze! :) but... I knew Miss B would LOVE it and Minnie would think it was "pretty cool" :) I had to and she was such a good sport :)

CountryMouse FINALLY got to one of Caleb's bball games!!! Miss B is so happy to be giving one of her heros a high five while STANDING next to her FAVORITE ref...remember him from Do-Do's Sr. game? We often see him at Market Basket and Husband ran into him during golf season since he has a boy who plays for a local school ;) I always wonder what people think when they see our family fraternizing with the ref ;) hee hee... Miss B just LOVES him and he her... gives her kisses on her head and everything! Course I don't think he was too thrilled when she hollered during the game "WHY ARE YOU CALLING MY COUSIN FOR A FOUL!!!" Girlfriend's loyalty still lies with her family...

My girls could not love their big cousins anymore than they do.... melt.my.heart.
