Dani's 2nd B-day Pah-ty!

Dani's 2nd birthday last Saturday was a SMASHING success ~ at least for MY girl who as we all know LOVES her some pony rides AND loves her FRIENDS :) Dani shared her pony, Ladd, with her friends and Minnie was psyched... just not quite as psyched about Dani's Grampa giving the rides :) Ah well...

Annual Hunt for the Christmas Tree

It didn't start off "GREAT" and actually kinda started out just like LAST year... truck wasn't working...

So instead of going RIGHT after church, we came home, put the girl down for a nap and Husband worked on getting it fixed. The kids and I made the best of the quiet time by making a little project I saw in my Martha Stewart Living magazine :) They treked through the woods, cut down the branches and even used the hot glue gun...

for about 15 min. and then I was left to my own devices :)

THANKFULLY Husband was able to get the truck working and we headed out to hunt and gather our tree!!!

We didn't have a long time so we made a quick WISE decision and we are all thrilled with the option this year!

...JUST in the nick of time... sunset was fast approaching!

and then look who we bumped into (planned) on the way OUT :) Fun to meet up with our friends again this year!

And THANKFULLY "Tricky" was able to show up and do the heavy lifting so that Husband and I are able to AVOID the annual Christmas tree FIGHT :)

When L&L showed up to pick up the kiddies we put them to work too, much to BIL L's chagrin :)

FRIENDS!

On Wednesday Minnie and I hosted our every other week play group. I think this picture does it the most justice because it IS out of focus and it WAS chaos! :) Fun, "semi"-organized CHAOS! :) That's what happens with 10 Moms and 17 kids! Oh yeah...

you read that right... 27 people in my home PLAYING...

Chatting and crafting! :)

And Minnie and I wouldn't have it any OTHER way :) What a blast!

She went down for a nap as soon as I cleaned up the house and fed her lunch ~ and I started hauling out the Christmas decorations :) I'm so happy I did too because lookie who made a quick visit over to give Minnie yet ANOTHER Birthday present... no we don't get to keep Shi-Whoa... but can you guess what it was :)

Such a special day with friends! We are blessed beyond blessed and I think my friend, Lil's Mom said it best in an email to me after play group "I took a look around and thought how lucky I am to be here with such wonderful women- who are such great mothers! "
