Loss

 We are supposed to have hot water coming from the sky this weekend so the snow will melt and we will be able to do a better assessment.... but I'm afraid of what we will find...

And it went down hill from here....

On Tuesday I knew I was starting to come down with something... by Wednesday I was CERTAIN it had arrived... it was an early release for the gals and Sky had agreed to snag them for me but by the time the kids left my school I was DONE... I headed home... snapped a quick pick of the fun happening in my kitchen....

and headed for my bed... head cold symptoms and just a dry annoying cough... negative for the 'vid...SO thankful for Sky hanging with the gals and pooch so that I could just rest...

I was all around miserable. I had not slept on Tuesday night... and Husband talked me into taking some cold meds. I HATE taking ANY meds never mind cold meds... I had eaten NOTHING since 11:15 and look at the rise... I took the meds at 4ish...

and I was up over 225 when it was all said and done... needless to say... no more cold meds...

I did push through school on Thursday and even rolled myself off the couch to make dinner... I think someone knows that I wasn't feeling well... OR he knows it was homemade mac 'n cheese night ;)

We got the call at 7:00 on Thursday night that there would be no school on Friday and I have NEVER been happier... when I came home on Thursday afternoon I never left again until THIS morning to come back to work....

I texted my Dr. on Sunday AM asking for an Rx because I am fairly certain this has now become a full on sinus infection.... thinking back... the last time I had to get an antibiotic....was HERE OVER 12 YEARS AGO... I am famous for auto-immune diseases but not usually getting any sort of cold, pukes, etc. This has been BRUTAL...

COULD NOT have survived without this guy... my water getter, tissue bringer, Advil dispenser...

and finally on Sunday afternoon my Rx ANTIBIOTIC savior!

I have EVERYTHING crossed that he (and the gals) do not get ANY BUSINESS of this...gosh dang I love this guy... 

Looking forward to feeling better everyday... ain't nobody got time for this at this time of the year... 

Thankful Thursday

There are couple of blogs that I follow that do a weekly post called "Friday Favorites" and if I was going to participate tomorrow my ENTIRE post would be dedicated to THIS... THIS was my favorite this week.....so very THANKFUL

#1 and #2 battling it out...

The game was supposed to be at St. James and I NEVER would have made it...but was moved to MMS

SO SO HAPPY to be able to watch this fun... they both played well and it was so much FUN!

Huge fan club showed up... MIL, CountryRents, Do-Do & Josie, Sky, Charley and Harp... FUN CREW!

I LOVE this #2...

but I REALLY REALLY loved sitting with this girl for THE WHOLE GAME!!!! Such a FUN time for us to cheer on our gals!!

and this girl on my other side... I had the BEST seat in the house :)

It was a great game.... 

but unfortunately didn't go how we had hoped... Husband was down to 8 players... the rest of them home sick... dang flu....

I did text this girl and ask if she though she could pass as a 7th grader :) Minnie could have used her for sure....

and now... are you kidding me... 

I SWEAR this was yesterday... oh how I love these sweet girls....

I mean can you EVEN....

and these two... I mean seriously.... TEENAGERS!!!

BABIES... ALL OF US!

SIL L didn't recognize Lil because her hair is so DARK now I think this is how she will forever remember the color of her hair :)

Tamarah and I just kept saying how thankful we are for this friendship... it has been SO MUCH FUN!

Wordy Wednesday: Proud Momma

Report Card Comments:

Myah sets the bar high for herself and others. She is an active participant in whole class and small group discussions. Myah is not afraid to take risks and this allows her to think and talk through new and challenging concepts to gain a better understanding of things. In small groups, she invites others to share and builds off of their thinking as a strong listener. In math, she is picking up on new concepts quickly and has strong number sense when working with new concepts like decimals. I look forward to being in more book groups with Myah and supporting her growth in new skills this year.

Siena has been a joy to have in math class and homeroom this year. Her positive upbeat attitude comes to class everyday ready to learn. Keep up the hard work!

What a pleasure it was to have you in tech class, Siena. You worked hard on all your assignments and gave everything your best effort. Awesome Job!

Siena is respectful, works hard, and is a leader in group work.

Siena brings a wonderful bubbly energy to the classroom. She works hard to participate in class discussions, and wants to ensure she produces a high quality product. 

Siena has been a joy to have in class this year. She is an amazing role model. She participates, is engaged in our learning, and always open to receiving feedback on her work. I appreciate her positive attitude and sense of humor. Keep up the great work!

The Weekend Report (Saturday/Sunday)

 

On Saturday we headed up to celebrate this guy turning TWO and made a few stops on the way in the big city... 

our gift was this "city" carpet and those monster trucks and he and Husband had so much fun playing with them :)

She had so much fun playing with HIM... She loves her some tiny people...

Miss B was so helpful opening all of his presents and we all got a case of the giggles watching them run two little remote control cars around... so funny....

We came home and saw that OUR NEW RUG FOR OUR BEDROOM had been delivered. I have been hemming and hawing about what to put under our bed since the renovation and the "coasters" were not working for us... every time I tried to sit up in bed it would roll away from the wall and I would slide down... not cool for a gal that loves her bed and watching TV...

I LOVE IT! Obviously it was rolled so we are weighing it down with things to flatten it out and now my duvet doesn't match but we were in the market for a new on so I ordered a mostly white with some light grey stripes... I'm excited... 

Sunday after church was a lot of Christmas organization, glass clean up (broken globe on the gals ceiling fan... ahem... Miss B....) a visit from the CountryRents and this.... my favorite... Christmas movies and Christmas lights...

Come December 26th I'm going to be ready to pack it up but for now... I'm loving it...
