How can you tell she played 2 hours of soccer and 2 hours of basketball in one night... huge meatball sub and a bag 'o ice for her ankle... poor kiddo...

Miss B KNOWS I don't dig the "gangsta pose" and Jess sent me this pic from school one day this week...I love my girl being "different" :) 

and I emailed this to Miss B....if you haven't heard her "Barkley Voice" it CRACKS me right up... she wants to put this on the wall in the dining room :) hahaha

 

Soccer Nights

AKA kid switcharoo day... Harper was dropped off at my house at 6:45AM to get a ride to school, Miss B went home from school with her coach aka Harper's dad, who came to pick up Harp at school and take those two to practice, Marisa had a meeting so I took this one with me to the soccer game, Husband had to pick up one of Miss B's friends on his way home from the course and bring HER to practice where Miss B was. :) Somehow all the children made their way back to their own homes by about 7:45ish... haha

Fun to have a co-pilot for part of the ride... course I wasn't paying attention so we got a little turned around but....we made it :) and got to see MOST of the 7th grade game as well because they were running so late

My girl doin' her THANG... This game was SUPER PHYSICAL... They were VERY rough, refs called NOTHING but she scored 3 goals, her teammates scored 3 and they won 6-1. 

I was getting SO nervous at the end of the game... cheap shots were being taken and I know it's often in those last seconds that injuries happen. When I saw her tell a teammate that had just been taken down by a girl that had been so rough that she was switching and taking that girl I might have held my breath for the last 2 minutes of the game.... 

I snapped this as we were all walking off the field....I love doing the sports Mom life with these humans...

The Weekend Report

 Started by trying to get take out... 10th time calling was the WINNER but Husband and I were already on our way to order in person. Publick House YUM!

Saturday this girl had soccer pics at the crack of dawn and we decided to make a family run to Sam's... after taking along his 3 girls... Husband decided he'll do that run alone from now on.... WHOOPSIE... 🤑🤑🤑

Ended Saturday night with a fire...

and watching this crazy guy...

YEARS ago I made MIL a wreath that looked SIMILAR (Not nearly as pretty)

And I saw this one show up on social media somewhere... I sent it to her and said I was going to make her a Christmas version... hahahaha

Whipped up corn chowder and yeasty (more like hockey pucks this time) rolls...

and on Sunday did a TON of prep for the week...the schedule is CRAZY this week between golf matches, soccer practices, soccer games and oh... a couple of bball opportunities... why sleep? 

So we have a plan....I was sitting on the couch and emailed this to my crew...There is chicken, tuna, 2 hot dogs, protein pancakes, berries, egg/ham quiche (fridge) egg/spicy sausage cups (freezer), cukes cut up, salad, ham, salami, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, corn chowder, yeasty rolls, multi-colored tomatoes, apples and ROMAINE

Now... let's take bets on who is the first one to ask what there is to eat this week :)

Friday Randoms

I was facing the fridge and all of a sudden I heard Miss B squeal and laugh... I turned around to this... NO IDEA what made him hop up on her... but oh my goodness...

Look at his paws... hugging her....

Our stadium really is impressive... (ESPECIALLY when God lights the sky up like this...)

Until you see THIS 😡 SO EMBARASSING. Oh yeah.... the green ones are over the TOP full so the grey ones were brought in at 5:30 in an emergency....

Very concerned when Minnie left to use the restroom....

SOMETHING got trapped and GOT OUT of the trap... 99.9% certain it was the LAST racoon... but man alive how big is this thing to break the TRAP?!

The Weekend Report

Soccer, Soccer and more soccer... just how I like it....Minnie had her first 8th grade MMS game on Friday afternoon. Being able to get to the START of her games makes me SO HAPPY. I HATE missing my gals things...She played amazing... scored 2 out of the four goals and assisted the other two... they won by 2... so fun... 

And grateful for the eye she has on the way home when she "steals" my phone to snap a pic of the sunset...

This guy had a vet appointment bright and early on Saturday AM. He checked out just fine but gave the Vet and the tech a run for their money. He was completely fine and silly/puppy but then something changed and he turned full Bernese... skittish, nervous, hiding behind both Husband and I. We have NO IDEA what happened but he was NOT feelin' it. He has to go back for a booster in 3 weeks and it will just be the gals and I so hopefully he is OK then...

And then on Saturday afternoon Miss B had a game. The weather was SPECTACULAR...so much for a "hurricane" but I was fine with that... a breeze, full sun and 70 degrees at 5PM... Yes PLEASE! 

These girls played their HEARTS out and came out with the win over San-fid. It was SUCH a fun game to watch! Miss B played great D and they just really came together as a team!!! It was SO FUN!

On Sunday afternoon Miss B was back at it... I loved the late afternoon games this weekend. Just really worked for our family :)

They had another great game and ALMOST pulled off the win.... they fought until the bitter end with a really physical team...and unfortunately this was the game that Miss B was stepped on and she left the game in tears. Poor thing thought for SURE her toenail had fallen off but THANKFULLY it had not....

I love watching my gals do all.the.things. Great weather and outside sports... YES!

Miss B's Toes (Graphic Warning)

 Way back HERE on July 20th...or maybe it was the 19th, we are not entirely sure...Miss B injured her two big toe nails... on the 19th she slipped on some rocks in the creek behind the Penney's house and lost a Birk that probably floated to Mousam... and then at Windham she was running IN her new Birks across the turf and tripped hurting both toes again.... but seriously... this girl has such a high tolerance for pain... you can't tell here...

But they now look like THIS... after her first soccer game she came off the field holding back tears...

We have been soaking, wrapping, soaking....

CAREFULLY pulling out ingrown toe nails...

but as of last night... they look like THIS... MY POOR GIRL....

This was the "Better" toe but as you can see looks just as HORRIBLE as the "Worse" toe... thankfully there is likely no practice tonight but we need to have some serious talks about participation for the remainder of the season... and that pain will likely be even WORSE...
