8 MONTHS!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS B!!!

Happy Birthday SWEET GIRL!!!!!
You are a JOY JOY JOY!!! (except for that whole part where you don't sleep. Not.a.fan.)
You have MASTERED the sitting up and the spinning around in a 360 to see what's around you. You SOOOO want to crawl but that dern leg gets in your way :) Your FAVORITE thing to be in is your walker chasing Minnie and if you are not in that you prefer to be on the floor where you can play with your toys, scoot yourself backwards on your belly or just hang with your big sister.
You are wearing anything from size 6 month to 12 month clothes depending on what it is...6-12 month socks and we bought you size 3 dipes. You tend to leak out of them a bit still so they might be a little big but seems silly to get the 2's again.

This month was the FIRST time you rode in the front of the buggy and you LOVED it. You thought you were SUCH a big girl! You also had your first ride in a swing at the park and you giggled non-stop... until I had to move to the next swing to push your sister... REAL tears because you were so disappointed that the "ride stopped". I think that you and Minnie are going to be JUST alike with your love for the swings :)

I am sad to say that for the most part our nursing relationship is over. I definitely took a dip in supply when your Daddy was in the "big building" because I did not do a very good job taking care of myself. You are so nosey and easily distracted so even a bottle is tough to get you to take... throw yah under the hooter hider with a diminishing supply and forget.about.it.

I'm still pumping for you first thing in the AM, around 1/2PM and again before I go to bed because you are STILL waking multiple times during the night and feeding you is the ONLY way to get you back to sleep. It's a vicious cycle and I KNOW you don't NEED to eat but because you share a room with Minnie we are just not willing to let you scream it out and wake up your sister. She's MUCH more difficult to deal with if she's overtired.

Your typical day starts around 5:30-6:30 and you are eating fruit and cereal first now around 6:45-7ish. I try to tank you up with a bottle of whatever I've pumped but you are just not down with drinking so much. You much prefer food and your big girl sippy cup of water. You LOVE it when I cut up food from my plate to put on your tray. You've had lasagna noodles, toast, cut up avocado, homemade mac'n cheese, asparagus (you were NOT a fan). You go down for a morning nap sometime between 8:30-9:30 and you will sleep anywhere from 30-90ish minutes
.
You wake up ready to have some play time with Minnie and then you both eat lunch around 12. You have a jar of a "meal" aka corn and butternut squash, summer vegetables, turkey vegetable dinner, etc. etc. and often you'll eat a jar of fruit as well. I AM sorry that your nose is turning orange but the ONLY foods that are green are beans, spinach (you are not a big fan) and avocado. Tough to mix it up for yah so... you are turning a bit orange. Whoopsie :)
First time with toast!

After lunch you and Minnie do more playing and she goes for a nap. You follow behind and go down around 1:30-2:30 and you'll sleep anywhere from an hour to 2.5. It is better for you if you have a longer stretch because it doesn't make the afternoon/night so long... When you wake up from your nap you will drink a 4-6 oz bottle and it is whatever I have left from the AM pump and the 1PM pump. We use frozen milk to supplement the afternoon feeding and your pre-bedtime bottle.

We spend the afternoons on the deck in your walker with Minnie on her bike if it is nice, we took a trip to the park and we have done walks to "Headders" house to play with chalk and have you watch the big girls :) Sometimes you and Minnie will watch a "show" and most recently you both watched Dora. You just kept HOLLERING and screaming at the TV and then you would look over at your sister and giggle... it was HYSTERICAL. Minnie did not think it was so funny but Mommy was laughing so hard she had to call TiTi to have her listen too :)

You eat dinner around 5:30ish right before the rest of us and you eat a jar of food mixed with cereal, fruit and puffs. You just hang in your high chair with us while we all eat our dinner so I'm also starting to cut up food to put on your tray to see how you do. For not having ANY teeth you do a pretty good job mashing stuff up with your jaw :) After dinner it is playtime again and then jammies and a book for you and Minnie. She goes to bed and then you get a nice warm bottle with Daddy and you are off to dreamland... until sometime between 11-3AM anyway....
We sure do love you baby girl and it has been fun to watch all your new developments, your chatting, your hollering and hearing you say "Da-Da" :) I am enjoying every stage knowing it is the last but really excited to see all the development I KNOW is going to happen in the next month :) Crawler anyone?
