I love a PARADE!

On Wednesday my school did a parade for all the kiddos in the town. It was SO.MUCH.FUN. We decorated the car, made signs for the excavator and the town fire truck, a school bus, ambulance and a sheriff came as well! My gals both said it was the BEST parade they had ever been to... in :) 

The weather was amazing (the only day of SUN that week) and we ALL had so much fun participating!!!!

The Weekend Report

Friday night Zoom night....no pics this time... Trem kids picked Inside Out... 

On Saturday we broke out and told this guy that we were going to meet a new friend... he was clearly less than impressed. Handsome though. ;)

A co-worker of mine recently got a puppy... she is obviously having trouble socializing her so I took the gals over... she's a bit nervous but with my gals patience and love for fuzzy puppies it didn't take her long to warm right up to them...

My friend Deb and I stayed more than 6 feet apart but these gals got right up and in "Kaydee's" business. I had no idea how much this short visit would fill my gals cup....

It was definitely the sunshine they needed! 

And speaking of sunshine, it ended up 60 and BRIGHT SUNNY by the afternoon... Husband took the gals casting and Mama got to stay home and sit in my chair in the sun on the deck. Happiness! 

Saturday night we went to Tricky and Julie's for a socially distant camp fire... that filled HUSBAND'S cup for sure. Being able to chat with his bud and sit around a campfire... my crew felt SO good after Saturday...

Sunday we did church on TV and a few little things around the house... Minnie and I went for a walk alone (per her request) and Miss B asked if she and I could color together. 

I LOVE all this family time but it does get tricky to carve out individual time for each of us... Husband and I, one of us with each of the gals... but I am going to be more mindful of that this week.. making sure we each have that relationship building. 

and NEVER a bad way to end the weekend... Husband's grilled burgers on FREE rolls he got when he went to Shaws! Yummy!!!

Feelin' the LOVE

Sweet LIBBY mailed the gals a homemade brownie kit to add wet ingredients to... Miss B LOVED it. We added mini chocolate chips just for fun! So cute for the gals to have mail and a project to do! We love our "Livvy"! :) 

I was SPOILED for Administrative Assistant Day (look it up. It's a REAL thing ;) My Admin and Social Worker from my school  showed up in my driveway with gift cards, two different kinds of cookies and...

and ENTIRE spanakopita from a local bakery. Lucky for me my family is not a fan! YUMMY!!! The staff also took the time to each write something to me and our 1st grade teacher put it together in one document. It was SO SWEET. This "words of affirmation" gal was definitely feelin' the love for SURE!

Week 5? or something like that...

Daily walks are more fun when friends come along spontaneously.... 

they ALWAYS promise to clean up at the end... it RARELY happens ;)

Wordless Wednesday: Always SOMETHING at the Mouse House

No School: Monday

This is fine right? Jammies, dirt, mess? 

You'll have to take my word for it but LOOK AT WHAT WE DID THE BASEMENT! DOESN'T IT LOOK SO MUCH BETTER!?!?

HUGE load going to the dump TODAY and still MUCH more to do but SO happy with the progress made!!! Hip hip!! Also accomplished this long weekend but no photos to prove it ;) Husband, BIL L, Sky, MIL, the gals and I hauled in about 2 cords of wood... cut, split, stacked... over the course of Friday/Saturday. SO thankful for the help and the FREE WOOD from extended family! Phew... 

Yesterday while we had things out and were busy cleaning I had Husband hook up the pressure washer and I tackled the north side of the house....lots of GOOD stuff done here at the Casa!

Post dinner Monday night...Miss B brought out an old "Bop It" that Minnie had gotten as a birthday present several years ago. We had a family competition after we saw how well Miss B did and tried to beat each other's scores! :) Got a little silly and Husband of COURSE won but that's only because we didn't count Miss B's high score that she got before we started... :) Girl is GOOD at that game! :)

Time well-spent these past four days for sure...

FREEZING...

This week I opted for sneakers instead of my big boots and when the water came up and over them when Husband pulled the trailer out of the water I regretted every part of that decision ;) 

I don't think these two brought enough "stuff" to keep them busy... it was a little "tight" on the boat this week... 

this girl... I tell yah... she is gonna be the death of me... gives me a heart attack every chance she can...

So lucky I have this guy to balance it all OUT :)
