Halloween ~ It's all for the kids

I REALLY don't like Halloween. I think it is 2nd only to Mother's Day which is probably my LEAST favorite holiday... and this weekend felt like it was FULL-ON Halloween...

It all started on Friday when I spent from 10:30 A.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Minnie's school. We did a Halloween Storyboard Walk for the kiddos and because it was horrible weather we had it inside. The set-up was brutal but the kids all had a GREAT time... there were treats and fun and it was the start of a festival filled weekend.

On Sunday the girls carved... or rather... scooped seeds... out of their pumpkins :)

and their sensitive little ears couldn't handle the sawsall (sp?)

but it made quick work for sure :)

Serious about the heavy lookin' on

On Sunday night we went to the local mini-golf place that Husband uses the driving range for golf practice with friends! :)

Mr. Muscles, a witch, Rapunzel, a ninja turtle and "the evil mother" aka Gothel :)

It was so much fun to watch the kiddos and this one even got a HOLE IN ONE so he came out with a SPECIAL prize! :)

The kiddos made out with a bunch of loot, we were home by 6ish and this Mama even came out with Hannaford coupons... WIN-WIN! :)

Monday was OFFICIALLY Halloween and as is our tradition we went to church for the harvest supper... a church potluck...carbs carbs and more cheese.

and more giggles than we knew what to do with...

The D Crew and my gals performed VBS songs for the talent show and by the end SIL L was in tears she was laughing so hard.

The kids did SUCH a great job... Spence definitely "stole" the show and they had so much fun. It is something that was so OUT of Minnie's comfort zone and I was SO proud of my girls and how well they did :)

I lit up the pumpkins when we got home for the girls to see...

and then we CRASHED!

BRING ON NOVEMBER!!!
