More VBS Fun!

Movies/TV for these two and they are SO happy :)

VBS closing program....

it may not have been Miss B's turn for the stage but she just can't contain herself when there is singing and dancing :)

Minnie told me on Monday of VBS week that she REALLY wanted to win the grand prize of a beach bag filled with candy, toys and a beach towel... you were entered if you got caught being a good listener, did some color papers, learned your memory verses, etc. I don't know how many times she was entered but she DID WIN! :) She was THRILLED!

And now we know she has her Daddy's good "luck" :)

It was SUCH an awesome week for my girls... there was a TON of time spent in the car back and forth but I would do this again next year in a HEARTBEAT. My girls just LOVED it!

 

And then Daddy left....

Husband's last day of school, therefore off on his annual fishing trip and before he was even OUT OF THE AREA.... it's all fun and games until Defense snags a fledgling and then... at least DROPS it....have I ever mentioned how much I HATE BIRDS? I.DO.

So... when in doubt... call the gals down the road who LOVE stuff like this AND don't mind sharing their interest with my little people... since I was curled in the fetal position praying it didn't jump out of Em's hands....

bird does NOT look thrilled but it was too small to do anything about it... so we did some research... Fletch and I called each other back and forth....

found out that 1) it is an old wives tale that bird parents won't take care of their babies if they have been touched by a human and 2) that sometimes the fledglings live on the ground for 3-5 days... so into a strawberry box nest he/she went and off to the woods....

much to my animal lovers chagrin... girlfriend is going own an animal shelter I swear...

The Fletch girls (including their Mama) came a few days later and the bird was gone... course then there was a DEAD one on my lawn that *might* have been it but hard to tell when you accidentally run it over with the lawn mower... yeah.

Thank goodness our night ended up better than dealing with birds in the morning...movies, jammies...

and stuffed animal forts with the "W" crew....

and trying to take Joe down at the end of the night... just what we all needed :)

So let's START here...

yeah... it has been a WHILE.... but... single-mommin' it, summer va-ca fun, and not feelin' great have all contributed... I do... however... this time have PICTURES.... 146 of them to be exact ;) not ALL for the blog but lest I loose those that only come for the fluff and not to hear me rattle on....

a couple of health updates...

1) SIL Bets, MIL, and SIL L and I are all headed to the great city of Philly in a week or so... to a Cancer Center of America for a few more opinions. She has a pretty tight itinerary with lots of info and we are all anxious to hear what they have for "options" that may not have been presented to her yet....

2) I met with the RA doc a couple of weeks ago... because I am not ready for yet another INJECTION in my life and what we are doing is not helping my pain at all, he modified my methotrexate from 8 pills on Monday AM to.... 5 pills in the AM and 5 in the PM... I started that new regime last week (Hubs was away) and by Tuesday afternoon felt HORRIBLE.... Tried it again this week and same thing so far... today has been fairly miserable. Guess we may need to go back to the drawing board before August....

now stay tuned for the fluff...it's gonna be enlightening fun :)

Time winding down

I had 9-ish months... time one on one with this girl that we have never had before....I loved it. I mean really... every minute of the time that she and I spend just together. She is happy to jump in the car and go anywhere or do anything. She rarely asks for anything except FOOD ;) and she is the funniest kid I know right now :)

We have had lazy days, full days, school days, friend days, home days, errand days and most recently "chemo" days.... she loves it all... and so do I...

Time is winding down for lazy snuggles in Mama's bed....

and I'm hanging on as long as I possibly can....

bring on summer but so happy we have one more year together before I have to do the carpool lane with her jumping out too....

ROCKETS and "Bob"

Tuesday was NUTS... Dr. appointment, school drop off/pick-ups, a trip to Daddy's school, Miss B's day 'o fun, errands, getting the truck to the shop, a meal to a friend, spontaneous park date with cousins and FINALLY home to eat the amazing dinner that Husband THANKFULLY had made the day before so we could all just crash around the living room eat and GO.TO.BED.

 

We sure do know how to do it all with FUN though... hugs from sweet friends who met us at Daddy's school to watch the kiddos shoot rockets off...

wide open spaces and boys... YES please! :)

always a teachable moment for this Mama....

she is always an example to me on seizing those teaching times...

and my snuggle bug... happy as a clam "stuck" between these two....

we def. missed big sister but enjoyed the sunshine...

From school Miss B and I ran home to drop off the pooch, pick up our library books and head to the library for the LAST one. We did a quick craft and she was BEGGING to head to "Bob's". She had been asking since she woke up if it was time yet and was THRILLED when we pulled up (oh... more than an hour early!)

She just LOVES being with these two... watching her favorite shows that "Bob" tapes for her so he can fast forward the commercials, eating their popsicles and now of course....

I am so thankful for these pictures from "Bob", for the love they pour out on my babies and their willingness to support me so that I can do doc appointments, errands and know how much fun my girl is having being SPOILED by people who were clearly just MEANT to be "grandparents" :)

I sent the following to Auntie via email...

 

I was snuggling with her on the couch last night and I said... "did anything make you happy or sad today? did anything make you excited or scared today?"

 

she said... "Mom... it ALL made me happy!" :)

 

That is a good day in my book for my baby! :)
