Saturday... Fair.. Family... GA

What's bad about all those things?!!? :)
The arrows are pointing the sign that we are trying to get to and the people that are all lined up with the same intentions. Nothing like WARM donuts (right Mama H!?!? :) especially not first thing in the AM. YuuuuummmyyyyyAfter walking around and around and around... and eating french fries at 9:00AM we found a bench to hang out on and watched this....In front of us... these are the 4-H'rs getting all lined up for the parade. Husband and I do love us some farm kids! So cute! When we finally pulled ourselves off our bench in the sun... we ran into a "celebrity"!!We had left Rebound with L&L and when we got back to their house they had decided to have a bonfire. L, Sky and I hauled all the cardboard up from their basement and in the meantime a patio chair was delieved in THIS box. So the question is... how long can a girl stay entertained with a big box?? Well if "her" dog is going to play with her....
A REALLY long time!!! :)
G.Q. 2018... you think? :)
The fun didn't end when we left L&L's... GA called to see if she could come hang out. We had some good giggles in the short time she was there and yes, I DID crop myself out of this pic!! :) you LOVE it GA! P.S. if you don't LIKE cotton candy you could have just told us. Honesty IS the best policy :) You didn't have to LEAVE it here when you left!! :)
GREAT weekend once again... why does it have to be Monday again already!?!?

Friday night... Party Time!!!

Someone turned SEVEN earlier this week... and we got together on Friday night to celebrate!! :) PHEW ~ Mimi pulled through on the cake... since Miss Skylar pitched a FIT about her own mother baking the cake so that Mimi could just decorate. Oh no. She was having NONE of that. Mimi makes her cakes. Eh... a girl who knows what she wants... can you blame her? (P.S. Mama, I think I talked...I mean... she thought that next year she'd like raspberry roll for her birthday :)It was a dog theme. Surprise, surprise, SURPRISE :)There was some outside play... see Mama H pitching to PQ!?Some football with the "big boys" on front lawn...And fun for all the adults when Husband dug into the cheese poofs. :) OH YES, I am proud of this stud muffin :)Skylar's favorite person less than a year old showed up... but not looking REAL thrilled to be pulled out of his carseat while he was slipped away in dreamland...But he warmed up....:)And then there was fun with goggles... what? (and this is NOW my wallpaper. You know you all want to do it :) and fun with hats... (I have said it before and I'll say it again, this kid CRACKS me up!!!) :)And fun with hats AND SPOONS....Posing with the b-day girl and THRILLED about it...
Can't you tell? :)
Oh wait, there he goes warming up again... or maybe that's just because he's with HIS favorite girl :)
BriBri and the "crazy" Aunt... the girl sure loves her pasta salad :)
Some presents...
Some October baseball... Hey, Betsy, what's the difference between a Fenway Frank and a Yankee Dog again?? :)
And MY highlight of the evening... the curtains. Tell me... WHAT is WRONG with this picture...
Oh yes, there it is. We want all the people OUTside to see the valance... :) Whoopsie L! :) tee hee hee
Happy to you Babe. Hope you had as much fun at your party as we all did!!! :)

61 Years...

I went with my parents and grandfather this afternoon to visit my Nannie in the nursing home she's currently getting rehab at...A few weeks ago she had dictated to another family member her autobiography... as I was reading through it I got to the point where she and my grandfather got married... October 5, 1947... I looked up at the two of them sitting across from me and said... it's your anniversary today!?!?!!? They both seemed surprised (Grampa sometimes still thinks it's July :) but yes, they both DID know they were married on 10/05/1947...

Happy Anniversary Nannie and Grampa!

Happy B-day O-BOYZ!!!

We miss you bunches and love you lots!!! (She's the gorgeous one on the right... I know... that family just seems to BREED good looking kids! :) :)

Happy Anniversary L&L

You really are the CUTE-EST! :)

Thank you for everything you guys are to us and for what your marriage represents. Thank you for your commitment to each other, your children and your families. Love you both!!!

Kind and Generous

Mama H comes from a long line of people who would literally give you the shirt off their back in a monsoon rain storm with no umbrella or cover in site. They LOVE to give gifts and other fun things to people. Her Mom, L of L&L (not sure if I've mentioned that's her brother?? :) her Dad (loves to give golf things :) and her "Auntie".... Husband and I are OFTEN recipients of these WONDERFUL treasures and last night there was another one!!! :) The whole H family came over and not only brought me this FANTASTIC subscription they recently signed up for... but also a WARM HOMEMADE APPLE CRISP!!! :) Spontaneous dessert date and I LOVED it.... Keepin' it real....Yep, why dirty another dish when you are the last one to get a piece of apple crisp? :)
SOOOOOO YUMMY! Glory, there was no flax seed, nuts or grains other than the oatmeal and it was TASTY! :) hee hee hee
PQ had a good time playing with his Dad....
And throwing dog toys at Husband... he's so handsome.... (well, both of them really :)

Thanks H Family... yummy apple crisp, tasty talk of freezer meals and good fun with friends!!

Three VERY random things...

In my neighborhood. NO. I'm not kidding. IT IS SEPTEMBER PEOPLE!!! COME ON... Enjoy the foliage would yah!?For my co-worker Cathy, posted here so I can grab it and email it to her at work tomorrow. As an added benie... Laura, check this out. Not a bad white. So if I think it's "not bad" you will either love it or hate it :)
Finally, what do you do while you roast a chicken for dinner (that you have just found out you are going to eat alone because your Husband came home sick :( )
You make stuffed shells for TOMORROW night of course...
and then you stuff enough to feed a small army... I put the cookie sheet in the freezer like this. I'm hoping the little shells will just pop right off like ice cubes when they are frozen... keeping my fingers crossed because that's at least two more dinners and a whole bunch of lunches for Husband... that would be a nice freezer meal :) (wink wink Mama H...:)
