Chapters

If you think of your life like a book sometimes the chapters start and finish and start again... seemingly all at the same time... this season of life... these few chapters are like that for me right now...

In the matter of a week to 10 days...

Miss B gave up her bink (i.e. Mom and Dad took it away and replaced it with a different lovie), she has regressed a bit with potty training and wanting to be fed at meal times again but over all not nearly as bad as we had anticipated... isn't that always the way?

She also had her LAST ride in the pack...

This one had kindergarten screening... seriously. How?

Two days ago I SWEAR she looked like this....
She did GREAT and was referred to by someone OTHER than me as PERFECT :) Music to every mother's ears right? :)

On that very same day I opted to go with Husband to his oncologist appointment. Just a follow-up and everything is fine... but brutal day for this emotional Mama... :)

And... in other news...

It took us five years... and lots of begging :) but we are the PROUD owners of what we HOPE will grow up to be a BIG, BLACK, DOG :) Meet Defense! :)

Husband wanted a mutt, I wanted a black lab, Husband's FAVORITE dog is a Rottweiler... I swore I'd NEVER get one... and the budget... oh the budget was so tight... but... then... God was gracious... timing was right... and everything worked out to get our SUPER BIG BOY... His Mama is a Rottie... his Dad is a black lab. He's gonna be HUGE. :) He's currently 8 1/2 weeks :) I think he weighs the same as Miss B :)
When we went to WAY northern Maine to pick him up, he ran over with his sisters (who were 1/2 his size) and immediately sat at my feet and soaked up the love. His sisters were jumping all over me, nipping and being puppies but he just laid down and rolled over to get his belly patted. Fat and lazy so far and that is JUST how we LIKE our puppies :) Here's hoping it sticks :)

Four and 1/2 hour car rides are BRUTAL with two little people in the back seat :) Kidding :) kinda. The gals actually did really well. They spent about 9 hours in the car today and they were TROOPERS. Until about Brunswick. And then all the way home :) But we are safe, we made it and it was an adventure for sure to get our boy. We are ALL in LOVE! :)

Now turn the page... next chapter.....
