Annual 4th of July Camping Trip

It wasn't a BAD way to spend a weekend that is for SURE :) Water, sun, mountains, family, and did I mention... WATER? :) my girl is OBESSED :) with "Wah-dah" :) she LOVES everything about it... playing in the sand with her toys... not so much.

Splashing and getting wet? Yes. Please.

We spent an amazing weekend "up north" at our now "favorite" campground. It's not too far, it's not too close. The bathroom is CLEAN and doesn't cost 25 cents for a shower. The sites we have claimed are wide open, close to each other and just right...

I went into the weekend ~ on Tuesday or Wednesday night prior, grabbing Husband's hand and saying "help me NOT care about food or sleep with the girl this weekend" :) Mission accomplished. There was little sleep for her, and lots of "camp food" but we managed JUST fine :)

Course a weekend with all her PEEPS, OUTSIDE is pretty much her version of Heaven so it was a great time.

The first AM she was up at 4:30 but she did managed to fall back to sleep with us on the air mattress until 6:30, the 2nd two nights she woke up crying but not enough to wake the campsite and I was able to just assure her that we were right there and she went back to sleep. Saturday AM even making it until 7AM!!! :)

Our resident "chefs" ~ grilling, cooking and taking care of our EVERY need.

We forgot the washer toss game so the kids ended up playing hours and hours of cribbage. Counting in the summer, working on math skills and strategy... ok. :)

Silly sisters :)

Saturday was the better of the two full days we were there (not that Friday was bad... just more cloudy) and we took FULL advantage of the beach and water.

Minnie was CLEARLY in her happy place :)

and so was TiTi :) laying out in the sunshine... while a little person fed her Doritos :)

Can't believe these two are so much bigger than the "original" picture I took way back HERE

We ended the weekend by getting up at 5:50 and a girl that was ready to go HOME....

those are some TIRED, bag eyes...

and some "all done" sign language :)

and so ends the FANTASTIC weekend spent with family, eating yummy food, not sleeping, sunning, swimming, and playing. Hard.
Hope you enjoyed your 4th of JULY!!!
