PLEASE weigh in...AND COMMENT

Through No Spend month as you know I've been using things up, getting creative with replacing things that we are out of and not buying the latest and greatest :) (not that I really do anyway...) BUT... Inquiring minds want to know...
Girls: What kind of mascara do you use? Do you love it? WHY do you love it? (I especially hope the Boy-z girls respond because they have the BEST eyelashes :) How about razors? I LOVE my intuition. I've had two in the past oh... 6 years or so and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them but the cost of replacement blades is OUT OF CONTROL. I might have to look at another option... and that option LJC is NOT, NOT shaving. :) sorry.
What kind of body wash and lotions do you use? Does it have to smell good? Just work? Is it on clearance or do you care about buying au natural because of all the nasty chemicals and things they are putting in our body care products these days??Same thing goes for toilet cleaner, bathroom cleaner, counter cleaner... are you budget conscious, environmentally friendly or do you just use what your mother did because that's what your mother did?

Be careful if you get Tom's toothpaste to look for the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free kind! Not all Tom's products are "natural" so you have to read the labels.

Be careful of 'green washing' too. Most products now a days are trying to appeal to the "green" crowd, but most of those products are not "green" whatsoever.

Cleaning ~ Vinegar, vinegar, vinegar! White vinegar rocks...it washes the floors, cleans the table, I even run it thru an empty dishwasher to get everything all sparkly clean inside. I have some method shower cleaner ~ but I got it on clearance @ Target. Potty cleaning is done with Scrubbing bubbles wand refills and the gel.

Body wash ~ Dr Bronners only IF I use body wash. I prefer Mrs Meyers bar soap...and they are huge. Otherwise it's Burts Bees in this house or some other organic soap/shampoo. I've found Rite Aid to have the best price near me on Burts Bees shampoos/soaps. And I've said before no conditioner...I use Apple Cider Vinegar (and no it doesn't smell!)

Razor's...NO idea...The last batch I got were freebies 2 pks of them. I'll search high & low for the best price with coupon and brand doesn't matter to me.

Hrm.. let's see.

Cleaning: I'm with AP on this one. I use vinegar - cheap and friendly. For the toilets, I use vinegar and a little baking soda. Tub I use magic eraser (not eco friendly but it is HAND DOWN the best product for my rough tub floor).

Razor: Fusion. Blades are a little expensive but they provide a very close shave.

Mascara: Cheapest around. You can't get blood from a turnip. HA.

Cream: B&B for scents or Curel for all-over, unscented cream.

Body Wash: Don't use it because of the chemicals. Only use Ivory Aloe soap.

I.hate.scrubbing.bubbles. LOL. The smell. UGH.

I agree with the vinegar and baking soda...I also use the baking soda and make it into a paste for scrubbing or stubborn stains.....baking soda paste is excellent for ceramic/glass top stoves!!

OH! Have you tried a cream of tartar paste for class cookware or even your stuck-on stainless steal? UNbelievable results.

Ok, sorry - felt like I was on FB and having a discussion with T2. hehe.

Lotion-off brand/on sale $1.99. However baby lotion does do work on dry skin:)

Mascara- Maybelline New York "Falsies" LOVE it:)

Razors-right now Noxzema triple blade. Next semester...WallMart special:)

Body wash-I go for the smell, normally honey and almond scented, but I do love the Japanese Cherry blossom from Bath and Body works:) Smells SOO good!

Cleaning? ha...the only thing I clean are my clothes, and again...cheapest detergent on the shelf. If I were to choose though, Tide but powder cause it cleans better:)

Whatever is cheapest for everything...seriously!!! Whatever I have a coupon for or whatever is on the clearance shelf...
I only buy Tide powder though and I do use Magic Erasers but buy the generic brand now!

Yes, I do vote the no shave thing for sure! Saves money, time, hot water, the Earth's resources (you DO want to be a hippy, right?!). Although, when I did shave last I bought the pink Bic Razors at Mardens, like 12 for $1.00, and I cut myself up big time - tons of small cuts!
Tom's...I hate the deoderant. The gel makes my armpits stick together even when I am not sweating.
Honestly, my favorite toilet bowl cleaner....good Ol' Comet!
I saw Laurie's post on The Mrs. Meyers...they have amazing hand soap and lotion. I just have to use up all my stuff before I buy more, but I WILL spend the extra money on that!

PS - not using razors will also keep you warmer in the winter....:)

Vinegar does wonders! It also does wonders in your hair also.

As far as shaving. You can save by shaving a lot less in the winter. I haven't bought a razor or replacements in well over a year because I keep using my razor blade for awhile and I only shave once every 1 to 2 months (my leg hair grows in very slow and is very thin).
