Romolo Eugene, Jr.January 07, 2008
Romolo E., Jr. 70, died suddenly at his home on Monday, January 7, 2008. He was born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine on February 6, 1937 a son of Romolo E. and Florence, Sr. and attended local schools there. Early on in life, Romolo learned the lessons of hard work and working with the public as his family ran the Boothbay Fruit Company for several generations. It was during a trip “South of Portland” that he was introduced to Janet, who would later become his wife and mother to their three children.
Romolo and Janet raised their family and he was employed at Cyro Industries for over 25 years and bowled in the Cyro bowling league. He was devoted to his children and was affectionately named “Pampa” by his grandchildren. You could find him playing board games and cheering on his grandchildren at their many sporting events. He enjoyed the family run fantasy football league. He loved working in his vegetable garden and Friday night suppers became a tradition within the family. During the summer, his barbequing skills came in handy. He would treat his wife on Saturday mornings by having tea and donuts with the kids as she enjoyed some quiet time. He had a huge heart for his family and his home was known to be the doggie daycare for his four legged companion, a beautiful black lab named Rebound.
And so it goes...
